For Sale - 2016 435i ZHP. Only 100 produced
I decided to sell the BMW as I've been a truck guy most of my life and thought I'd enjoy the car. While I do love driving this car, it just doesn't have the hauling capability that I've found I need. It's amazing how much I used the truck and never thought about it. My car is a 2016 435i ZHP, white, and pretty much loaded. It has ~52k miles on it. There are no dings or dents, or scratches on the car, but the front bumper cover does have some stone chips. I also recently replaced the charge pipe with an OEM pipe, so that part is new and not old and frail. My price is based on what I've seen some others listed at. The blue book and black book don't list the ZHP option, but the fact that it is a performance upgrade and not just cosmetic, should warrant a higher value over a standard 435i. Options include Navigation, Dakota Leather and Driver Assistance Package. Window Sticker = $63,695. The car has the CPO warranty until March 2021 and unlimited miles. 435I Coupe - $48150 Alpine White - $0 Black Dakota Leather - $1450 ZDA Driver Assistance Package - $950 - 3AG Rear View Camera - 508 Park Distance Control ZHP Performance Package - $10200 - 3DZ W/o Lines designation outside ZMP M Sport Package - 2VF Adaptive M Suspension ZTR Track Handling Package - 2NH M Sport Brakes - 2VL Variable Sport steering 337 M Sport Package - 23N 18" Light Alloy V spoke 398 Orbit Grey wheels - 481 Sport Seats - 4WF Aluminum Hexagon Trim with Estoril Blue - 710 M steering Wheel - 715 Aerodynamic Kit - 760 Shadowline Exterior Trim - 775 Anthracite headliner 2TB Sport automatic trans with shift paddles 2VB Tire Pressure Monitor 302 Anti theft alarm system 319 Universal garage door opener 322 Comfort access keyless entry 423 Floor mats 430 Auto dimming mirrors (interior and exterior) 431 auto dimming rearview mirror 465 split fold down rear seat 488 Lumbar Support 493 Storage pkg 4NE Blow-by heater 521 Rain sensor and auto headlights 522 Xenon headlights 524 Adaptive light control 534 Automatic climate control 575 Additional power sockets 609 Navigation System - $1950 655 Satellite radio 688 Harmon Kardon surround sound system 697 DVD area coding (North America) 6AC BMW assist ecall 6AE BMW TeleServices 6AK BMW Online and BMW Apps 6AM Advanced-real-time traffic Info 6AP Remote Services 6NH Hands free bluetooth and USB audio connection 6WA Instrument Cluster with extended contents 840 Increased top speed limiter ZTM Tier 2 Net Total $62700 Destination - $995 Total MSRP - $63,695

Lovely car - lovely pricing premium added for the ZHP option code.
Curious as to how desirable that option code and the exclusivity it brings will be? GLWS!

New updated price. As the car approaches it's 4th birthday, I've noticed other 435s decreasing in price, so I felt it only fair to stay in alignment with other cars.

Updated the price again to stay inline with other sales. I have not been actively trying to sell this car, and this is the only place I've posted it. If it sells, it sells, if not, I keep it. It's a nice car and priced very fair for the options that it comes with and the rarity of being a special edition!

In the same boat as you ScottMoyer. Have a black one in Orlando also that I have had on autotrader and have been watching the market for a while. NADA makes it difficult when they are the "go to" for lenders and we can't account for the nearly $6k in BMW parts that don't have an option box in creating the value. They also don't make it easy to contact them to find out how to get the ZHP option included. I think I am currently $2k under NADA retail on a standard Msport car value and still get tire kickers with offers in the mid/upper 20's.

Yeah, I've seen your car listed in Sanford for awhile. I've been using your price drops as a metric for my pricing. You have half the miles I have, so I'm asking less. However, when I look at the classifieds on this board, and see people asking in the upper 20s for a 2015 or 2016 435i, I really can't understand why there isn't more attention for this limited edition car that has all of the M Performance parts already installed, the tune, the LSD and the upgraded camshaft. Over $10k worth of M parts added that nobody wants, I guess.
Good luck with your sale. I'm thinking about posting mine on bringatrailer.com, as the people that frequent that site, are willing to pay what a car is really worth and not play the book value pricing game. If a regular 435i sold new for around $52k, and people are selling them around $26k, that's 50% of their original value. My car was priced at about $64k, so at the same 50% loss, I would think $32k is fair for a car that's been driven. Those with less miles, should get more. So, like you, I'm about $2k less than I believe my car should be at.

You can also add that stage 1 tune to the ZHP and increase it's hp/torque more, but you still won't have the limited slip differential, and probably won't have the Track Handling package, which includes the better brakes, suspension and steering, in these other 435i models. Are you saying that just adding a tune will make a less than $26k 435i equal to the ZHP?
If that's the case, then we wouldn't need a Corvette Z51, Grand Sport or Z06. We also wouldn't need the M models in the BMW lineup. The different models are made up of different option availability. The ZHP was 2 steps above the regular 435i, 1 step above the 435i with M sport package, and 1 step below the M4.

Ok, so like I said, the ZHP isn't just a 435i with M sport. The options that make it a ZHP are the performance options. There should be value in those options. From what I've read here, you couldn't get a 435 with limited slip. I see people on the forums paying $2500+ for an aftermarket alternative. The Track Handling Package was another $1700. It also came with the MPPK at $1500. When getting book values, they only give extra for the M sport package and the leather upgrade. I just provided you with $5700 in extras right there. Limited edition vehicles and vehicles that have factory performance upgrades over the standard models, usually have a higher value associated with them. A rare color, or a limited production of a certain seat type, carry no value. But performance options usually do. If BMW is different than other manufacturers where the car has no value, even with factory performance upgrades, then why buy a BMW?
So, as I was saying, the ZHP has many of the options that people are putting on their cars. You can't compare a base 435i with the ZHP and think they should be priced comparably. The pricing books are only providing the pricing for a base 435i with maybe a leather upgrade or the M performance (appearance) package. If you believe that the options have no value, try buying any manufacturers upgraded model, for the base price and let us know how that works out.

hold on to it, honestly not worth more than 23-25k unless you find someone who is specifically looking for it. there are 340's with the track package on here not moving for 25k and that is a much better car. if you had a manual maybe you could get a a little more. honestly you can pick up a 435 for 23-25 and just buy a lsd for 3k. what do you think trade in is? 20k. its a nice car but its something you hold on to, resale sucks.

Wow! Did not realize these cars depreciate so fast. I would think the ZHP would be in the upper 20's. Now if I could just find a gently used M3 in the low 30's. Yeah I know it's a dream...

I was notified by madboost that his car sold for his asking price. That's good to know, and congrats to Tom for selling his car. My car does have more miles than his, but my asking price is also less than his.
I will be taking a different path to listing my car as it appears the BMW enthusiasts on this site are completely undervaluing what it is.
