Love the M performance brakes. Next item on my list.
Where is the best place to buy these days? Nice stance as well with the wheels! Last edited by donR; 07-23-2017 at 07:47 PM.. |

How the car sits today. I am not sure when the suspension or BM3 mods will go on. Stay tuned.

Nice looking car. Can you notice the difference with the brakes?

Nice setup. Looking forward to see what it looks like lowered and the HP numbers if you dyno. I have a similar car and starting the Modding process.

I didn't do the install, but apparently it was difficult for the shop that did mine. It took them like 2 business days to finish it. I don't think they solely worked on that but it took alot longer than their original estimation.

It takes maximum 2 hours or an hour and a half if the garage is good. I have xDrive and it took my local shop an hour and a half and I was actually at the shop waiting while it was being done.

I think the new quest is 450whp (I doubt I'm even above 375whp right now) and I think I will go for that with the Pure Turbos Stage 2 or possibly a smaller turbo using the Speedtech kit (this is assuming I will only run pump gas). I still need to work out all the logistics. Plus I would like to get bootmod3 before I install it.
My biggest challenge will be finding a shop that is somewhat close to me who can perform this install. So, if anyone has a reputable shop in Southeast Michigan please give me a recommendation.

This was with a map that was not done for pure stage 2 from bm3. With a proper custom tune with ps2, you can hit 450whp easily. I basically did 400whp with a 91 tune as my timing was way off.

Like I said, the OTS is not for the turbo, need custom. Your dyno run was from 3000rpm, mine was done around 1800rpm. Plus if there was no lag down bottom, you're gonna destroy your driveshaft.

I'm not comparing yours to mine. I'm telling you compared to every other PS2 dyno I've seen, something is wrong. You definitely need to get it sorted. There are plenty of people making 4-500wtq sub 3K rpms reliably. It's all about the tune, boost control and and torque limiter.

Pretty good numbers for a tune to just get his car rolling along. I agree he should have waited to get his tune tweaked for his setup before hitting the dyno - but it's nice to see the power he is making with the turbo upgrade on a base tune. The custom tune should significantly help the power down low and he probably has nearly another 50whp left in it. I agree with chuango though... linear power is better... better for traction and easier on the drivetrain. |

Linear power is better on a drivetrain for sure, but nothing about big turbos is linear. Stock EWG turbos on meth are pulling crazy numbers down low that no one seems to recognize when talking about larger turbo lag and linear power. Again, not the point I'm trying to prove. I just think driving around on a tune not meant for your setup can be problematic not to mention you didn't datalog. Get it checked out, tuned properly and show us some some awesome pump numbers everyone has been waiting for. I'm cheering for him, not against him. |

I have the drf file of the dyno as well. So basically these numbers you see here is on 91 pump gas, not 94. What happened was i needed new plugs and a better gap, as It was pulling timing, I updated the BM3 thread with the old plugs pics, if I were to run it again, it would probably break 400 into most probably 420ish.
