VRSF Chargepipe install help

Hi, I'm attempting to install a VRSF Chargepipe in my 2015 335xi. I was able to get the stock Chargepipe out through the top, but I can't get the new one in through the top or bottom. I can't seem to get enough clearance to get it in. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You should install the top half first from the top, then attach the lower half to it through the bottom. I detached a hose down there for clearance, though I don't remember which one exactly.

^ Yup.

Install the top and bottom separately, then tighten the T bolts on the silicone coupler.

Yup, thanks guys! It was much easier to install by installing the top half first and then connecting the bottom.

I also ordered and installed the vrsf 5" FMIC. My only complaint is I ordered it in December and still got a defective one with Fan tabs too long and no screws included. I was able to bend the tabs in good enough though.

Sorry to hear that OP, can you shoot over your order number so we can assist/verify authenticity?

Are you sure you ordered the XI version as its very different then the RWD one.. I would just double check that first.

Thanks, I was able to get it installed. Just had to install it in parts. I did confirm it is an xi chargepipe as well.

yea. i ran in to the same thing. i fished it down from the top with the silcone sleeve loose and then from the bottom reached up to rotate the clamps around to tighten down enough.

if i had to do it again id do the two piece and be done in half the time.

What makes them so different? I'm starting to think I might have an issue with mine due to this.

Vacuum ports and slight orientation differences IIRC.

Vacuum port locations, pipe routing and a few other details differentiate the four different styles of F chassis N55 cars which is why unfortunately we're limited to 4 different pipes for one car.

We're actually in the process of compiling multiple 3d scans of each engine bay in order to find a one pipe fits all solution and I'm happy to say we're pretty close launch. We'll have an update shortly!

This is amazing.... Great idea..

If you get this done that will be awesome.. Always great to have a universal fit.. Both from a vendor and end user perspective.

Brilliant idea! so long as the sensor and vacuum line locations fit without adding anything that would be awesome. Im not sure how a rwd and xi would be able to use the same since all the awd components create an issue. Curious to see the outcome of this.

How long start to finish did the chargepipe take for install?
