If so, that price is pretty competitive if the intake tube is also CF.
Thanks for clarification on materials...
The kit does not include a new MAF you reuse the oe MAF sensor.
But they advertise a larger MAF.
A larger MAF opening won't do diddly squat, and if you're fooling DME, without a tune (as claimed), I'm trying to understand how a larger MAF would help.

I think they are referring to a bigger MAF housing. Maybe Dinan can chime in and correct me if I am wrong. We did a few Dinan intakes + Stage 2 upgrades this week and the customers were very satisfied with the results.

Okay, let me see if I have this straight. I have MPPK and MPE on my 2014 435i xDrive. I can go Stage 2 with the MPE, buy the Dinan airbox and will get most of the performance gains and shouldn't impact warranty. Yes or no?

Correct, its a larger MAF housing.

Glad the customers were satisfied but then again its hard not be with a quick jolt of power and a sexy intake under the hood. Get those guys to post some reviews! =)

Yes on F30's. We placed a order for 5 intakes before the official launch of the intake systems. All are were sold. It is a very nice increase for customers who have been driving with stage 1 for some time now. Great product with a smooth installation. Updating mapping is easy as well.

Dang! 455 foot pounds may be more than I want. I might just go with the intake first and see how I like it.

Will the sound change be noticeable if you're upgrading from the MPPK air box?

Any chance to get a video showing the sound difference?

Pre-ordered today...scheduling dyno before and after, trying for same day so conditions are as close to identical as possible. Vids to follow once received.

The whole drilling holes makes it annoying to install.

Makes me feel better about paying BMW to do it..... I'll just relax, sip coffee, and watch TV in the waiting room I'll be $100+ lighter, but not frustrated with busted knuckles!

Garage List
Install instructions

13. Using the cover plate as a drill template, drill the four hole pattern into the airbox using a #30 size drill bit. Install the 4 blind rivets in the hardware kit from the outside of the airbox.

You guys are going to drop $600 on 1/2 an air cleaner the maybe maxes at 10 advertised horsepower & don't even read the instructions?

It just looks good, and I did read install instructions in depth..... not worth the performance but the carbon fiber looks sick.
