Talking Burger tuning (BMS) B58 JB4 Dyno and Review Thread UPDATE 3/7/16 - 453 WHP!!!

Burger Tuning has officially released their B58 JB4 claiming 60 whp and 40wtq on a completely stock car
Lets use this thread to post dyno and reviews for this product

How about up to 60hp to the wheels (80hp crank) on a completely stock car on pump gas? The JB4 features a simple plug and play installation harness for easy installation and includes many features not found on any other tune. Including on the fly in dash map switching between factory and various performance maps, optional in dash gauge displays for boost, boost limiting by gear for improved traction in lower gears, progressive water/methanol support, ethanol fuels support, built in code reading, and much more.

Remember the JB4 does not require any additional modifications or previous stages. Simply install the JB4 as your first and only modification and enjoy an entirely new fast and smooth racing experience. The JB4 also does not require any user setup or customization but for more advanced enthusiasts the BMS DATA cable allows you to connect via a laptop for data logging and free software updates.

Applications:

BMW 3 Series
• 2016+ F30 340i/340ix

Update 03/07/2016

The current setup is 100% stock except for a B58 JB4 BETA, BMS intake, and a BMS B58 water/meth kit. Exhaust is fully stock. Fuel was ~93 octane and meth mixture ~80%.

The BMS B58 water/meth kit has some additional parts not included in our normal kits including a PNP nozzle adapter, an EWG connector for the JB4, and some additional fittings.

With the EWG connector in place we're able to control as much boost as the turbo wants to make. But we've found power peaks out ~21psi, despite the turbo willingly making much more boost. Runs from 22-24psi at the same timing values all resulted in the same or less power. So we're probably approaching the stock turbo limits now. Maybe another 15-20whp ultimately in there with exhaust and other work.

Most impressive is how well it holds power to redline especially relative to previous turbo BMW motors like the N54 & notoriously weak top end N55. I'm pretty excited about this new motor.

These gains are with a stock car, no other mods needed

Dyno stock reading does not matter ... We are comparing delta numbers

Keep in mind the dyno graph you see does not have to the most aggressive map

Max boost allowed is always more than recommended boost.
Example N55 stage 1 has recommended boost of 3 psi, max boost allowed 4 psi

B58 JB4 is still under development so the recommended and max boost are not set yet

Peak gain over stock is at peak RPM, not peak HP. For pump gas they expect 50-60whp gains for most applications. Check out this chart of a stock car on E30. On E30 the DME detunes itself so the baseline is even less and the delta even higher

This might be a solution to having missed out on port-installed MPPK on my 340i order

Cant give you 100% guarantee since this is still in Beta mode but any upgrade will most likely be a software change which can be done using the USB cable
