Not a single dealer cares about your mods, when you blow your engine/turbos/transmission they will tell you to go screw yourself

Most dealers do care though, your situation is ideal but not common

Funny you should say that because I actually just had my transmission replaced under warranty and my dealer manager just told me to set my JB4 to map 0.........

Excited to see Dinan wade in to the low end market although I have my concerns. The numbers posted are not that much lower if at all than my Dinantronics system produced only at 1/10th its price point. I'm worried keeping the Dinan name on this will torpedo the brand's value and my potential resale value.

In terms of the product itself the BMS Stage1, TMC, Racechip, AFE Scorcher, and others are all two sensor systems. This is more comparable to the BMS JB+ system I think which is one sensor, dial adjustment, and $299. The price seems on par for what is provided but I think I wish it was not under the Dinan name.

You know your SA/manager, BMW is aware of the problem so they don't blame it on tunes.... happenes just not to everyone and not in all situations. Most dealers wouldn't replace a scratched panel let alone a transmission on a modded car since tune puts a direct wear on it.

The previous owner liked to track my car which I mentioned. Either way my 2nd gear such ro was going out so it needed to be done. They enjoy driving my car when I bring it in. Everyone that works there has modded cars.

2017 BMW M2  [0.00]
~30-40% of advertised 30 HP gain for mppk equipped cars...9-12 HP bump for $300.

MPPK owners should get a 30-40% discount

No on B58. At least not at this time.

MAP (manifold absolute pressure) is essentially a boost sensor. a TMAP sensor measures temperature as well.

At this time you would need to have access to an Android device for switching.

Sport is a boost controller. All other stuff is handled by the factory DME.

The full DINANTRONICS interacts with much more then simply boost and interacts with a multitude of parameters in conjunction with boost (timing, fuel, lamda targets, etc). This is done so the factory DME doesnt have to constantly chase these values; DINANTRONICS Elite does it ahead of time. Both methods work just fine and both produce power however drivability is different. Depending on how sensitive you are to these changes (the factory DME does a good job) you may find the difference negligible or ridiculously night and day.

If 4 psi was doable and consistent you'd think the dyno's would have been done in race mode. Also, seems like from the forums those with Dinan tunes haven't ended up with the same advertised gains.

I'd love to see the same car run a dyno with BMS Stage 1 versus Dinan Sport.

However, I am intrigued. . .
4 PSI is doable and consistent but we are erring on the side of caution (as we typically do) and displaying sport + numbers for one simple reason, well two actually.

1. Not everyone has the best fuel and we found that the car on race with low quality 91 (not top-tier) had some stutters. Instead of advertising on a setting that not everyone could potentially drive comfortably in we took it down a notch. This isnt to say that you couldn't drive it as you could and for some it may be acceptable but its not really in line with our standards is all.

2. By advertising in a lower setting we are leaving open the possibility for the end user to actually get more. The imagination is a powerful thing so a bit of marketing is at play here too. =)

We have never been the company to publish gaudy numbers anyway... we just post what we got. Why try and post gaudy numbers now? Sales will come with a solid product regardless.

I personally had the same concerns but it was debated for a while and this is what took, so it is what it is. The differences between the 2 units is significant though if its really looked at... more possibilities in power with the more advanced unit (+more out of the gate), full warranty, and drivability is noticeably different (at least it is to me, others may argue the other way).

MPPK Note

Talked to the main developer of sport this morning and apparently I was misinformed originally. The unit WOULD stack on top of MPPK.

Nothing specific. Normal DINANTRONICS Elite unit is in the works, intake, after cooler (maybe... in testing), big turbos. Right now we are still battling with the tuning as DME8 is proving to throw more random obstacles then we were expecting. Exhaust and suspension stuff is already out.

Why does it say "Free Shipping" on the product page, when "free shipping" seems to be for orders $500 and over?

The whole free shipping thing needs to be abolished in my eyes.... it technically says "restrictions apply" but alas... you can always order it through one of the online distributors or from one of our vendors on these very forums if you like and they may be offering free shipping.

Test vehicle listed in the charts is an M235i which essentially already has MPPK loaded in it by default so by using that same logic the numbers you see listed above would be what you get out of an MPPK car.
