Awesome work!!

When flashing back to stock, is it going back to the original stock version for my vehicle? Or does everyone go to one set stock version?

I am still on the fence.

I - OBD unlock for new cars/install time around 260 seconds start to finish instead of 10-50minutes with other F series tuning solutions.
- Revert back to Stock and locked. No chance of tamper code showing once flashed back.
- No flash counter limitations - our dev cars have been flashed well over 1000 times. This has always been a BM3 feature.
- Flash date freeze - unique BM3-first feature, no other tool supports today. Flash date never changes when flashing with BM3.
- Flash counter freezes after OBD unlock
Not sure why you're on the fence when you have everyone telling you to get it lol

I've converted 3 of my friends and they all love me for it, they asked why they didn't listen sooner.

The longer you wait, the less fun you'll have.

I mean true but lets also see what goes on with the Active Autowerkes tune ,their stuff is pretty good as well. I m not going any where so....

These are the only two tunes I would consider. But man, Bootmod3 sure does seem like the way to go. When all is said and done how much does everything cost with Bootmod3?

^^^^^Who knows which is the right way to go between the mhd bm3 or aa. We have pretty much zero in the way of dynos or track times for each tune.

There's plenty of dynos and timeslips for BM3 on the forums. You just have to look around.

Should cost you about 900$ with removal and license. Or if you're not comfortable, 9BD flashing should be out in about 2 weeks, though bench unlocking is better.

It also comes with an OTS map.

Performance for the tuning maps shouldn't be any different whether it's bench flashed or via OBD. No?

That’s just how you unlock the ECU. Maps are the same. I was in beta testing with them trying out unlocking. Its just like flashing another map. Really easy and smokin’ fast.

F87 section seems quiet these days so I’m here too now with the rest of the N55gang.

One would think but based on some of the subjective information (minimal) that has been posted it appears there is a difference between a obd and bench

I think it's been clearly stated that what you are saying is wrong. It's been said there are limitations wth obd flashes. In fact i recall seeing "bench is king" posted by PTF

It all depends on what the map tune is doing. I'm sure some of the big differences are between I'd you are changing values on existing maps vs modifying the entire map structure. I.e. fuel maps are based on load...obd flashing probably allows them to tweak the map as it is, while a bench flash can help add rows and columns to help expand the map for things like larger turbos.

Again speculating, but that's what I have seen on other platforms.

That has nothing to do with tunes and their features. All my stuff still works the way it was. What you picked up on is just what happens when you restore back to stock when you do it on bench and just OBD. They were clear about that stuff. It doesn’t affect tunes though one bit why would it? The obd unlock stuff is just for people not to have to go into a shop to pull the ECU out.
