Follow the link, click on "Drivetrain" then Power Kit image and then use the small arrow to advance the images forward to hear sound clips of the Power Kit with standard exhaust and M Performance Exhaust. Pretty cool.

Thank you for posting.

I wonder how much all of the extra aesthetic components will jack up the price.

So it's just a tune with some nifty plastic badges and stickers. Cool. I just wonder if the released specs are underrated like we assume the original specs to be also and that it's a flat line increase over what we already have.

Did BMW ever release what looks to be a dyno graph of the original engine performance?

Sounds like they've worked in some extra valve overlap to create some burble. Reminds me of the Ford Racing Hot Rod Cams they released a couple years ago to "create" a lopey idle.

6% power gain isn't something to sneeze at...provided the price point is reasonable.

~+20HP and +18ft/lbs torque for manual? Wonder how much it will cost. The sound with the M Performance exhaust is quite nice. Kinda weird torque gains are different between auto vs manual.

Anyone have any idea what they mean by M Performance Intake Silencer?

Sounds like a restrictive intake piece. Wonder what removing it would do...

They refer to the intake piece as a silencer. Same way they refer to the M Perf exhaust as a silencer. The M Perf. Intake silencer is less "silenced" than the stock Silencer.

Ya dig?

They couldn't lie if they released real Dyno graphs....

OP, thanks for posting this! Here's hoping a cpl of the first adopters get a before/after Dyno.

Do you guys think it would be possible (additional benefit) to adding this kit then following it with the JB stage 1?

That was kinda my point... If they underrated the car at 300hp and the ppk makes it 'actually' 326hp, then we're not talking about a 26hp increase anymore, making it probably closer to a 10-15hp increase when doesn't sound so impressive.

Yeah I enjoy pointing out the obvious. It's a hobby.

That's why I'm curious to see someone buy this, and dyno before/after....so we know the real improvements...And more importantly so I don't waste money on it if it's only 10hp. As in reality the 335i is fast enough for a family car....but more is better.

I'm disappointed by the official numbers. Was hoping for somewhere north of 330hp with a similar torque. Guess I'll wait for the dyno. A less silenced 'silencer' will be appealing though. Plus warranty over aftermarket chips.

Well the new engine cover has to help right??

:

But seriously it mentions:
- optimized accelerator alignment
- new intake silencer
- new engine control device

So having all that in addition to adding the JB would seem like a good thing.

What's an optimized accelerator alignment? I kinda get the intake silencer. A new engine control device means a new ECU? Are there any other benefits with that?

Unlike for the previous generation 335i, I don't see any specific requirements such as additional oil cooler for this PPK to be applied. This means folks with the Modern, Luxury and the Base Model will be able to install the PPK... right?

Also, just noticed something called "BMW M Performance side stripes". Here is the pic:

Is that available in the US?
