I think it only means that if you add the MPPK after you take delivery, the components of the MPPK (which is nothing really, DME for pre-11/12 builds) are only covered for 2 years. Otherwise, it does not affect the original warranty. Don't worry, it's all still good.

Wow you guys are so worried about the warranty it's not even funny! I've had warranty work done on my car 3 times now and I went in with my JB1 tune installed.

How about comparing apples to apples and spending that money on an ecu tune and getting 3x as much. Not so much "LOL" now is it? Tune vs exhaust? Smh...

That's something TOTALLY different. You don't buy an exhaust to gain HP.

It reads differently on getBMWparts.com:
"The vehicle’s original BMW Limited Warranty is not affected. 4 Year / 50K miles when purchased with the new vehicle o 2 years / unlimited miles or the balance of the new vehicle warranty, whichever is greater."

I've been waiting 2 years for this kit for my F10 535i.
Why BMW does not care for 5er customers!!!?

The green is the 335is dyno, not a PPK dyno.

OK, my mistake, assumed the 335is was simply the N54 with ppk...apparently there is quite a bit more. Old posts edited!

It's just due to technology, auto tranny more capable of taking advantage of the engine mapping, it's like that for the e9X PPK as well

This should just be standard.

One could go buy a jb for less than half the price and gain more power.

I wish BMW would read this and make msport a tad bit more expensive, but include all the goodies. Just look at Audi s models.

btw... when the PPK for the 2011 335i was first released by BMW they ran an introductory price of $599 + installation (msrp $800).

Why would the PPK for the F30 be so expensive? Is it because compared to the E92 PPK the F30 PPK also includes an enhanced air intake?

My thoughts exactly. 300~400 bucks? You sure? Dealers in Socal charges 150~200 an hour and take 15mins coffee break every 30 mins.

I agree with you on second point - throttle calibration will make a huge difference in just how the car feels and pulls from a standstill. Smoother, more responsive.
It was shown to us last Saturday in a video presented by the M Performance parts manager.

Less torque for manuals due to the increased "shock" that a manual car experiences between shifts on the flywheel. A stronger flywheel was available, but would make the package uneconomical. They need to protect the longevity of all the components, this product would not be viable if it reduced longevity and reliability and increased warranty costs.
