It's easy enough to code this graphic -- I believe you need the extended display and/or larger iDrive display (comes w/nav).

If you have the pre-reqs, this is among the simplest codes to do. It's also an accurate code if you have a ZSL or better car since ZSL comes with 704, the M Sport suspension, even if you don't get adaptive suspension.

OP: You focused on the changes -- my question for you is, how has it affected the use of your car as a DD? Like you, I need my car to remain practical: kids, wife, groceries, etc. Has comfort mode become too much like sport? Is sport mode too edgy to enjoy cruising along on the highway?

I have the Sport AT, so on freeway drives, I put the car into Sport mode, the SAT into manual so I shift into 8th gear. I love the throttle response at 75mph and the weight of the steering in this mode -- I wonder if the PPK would amp this driving setting up too much. Any thoughts?

Grats and I'm glad you like this mod but I was thinking... It's all fine and dandy to have the increased performance in sport mode but doesn't upping comfort mode defeat the purpose of "comfort" mode?

I mean....we all have varying degrees of comfort, right?
For example, in Europe, people leave about 1 foot of room between your and their body (is that grammatically correct?!) when speaking with you.
In the US, it's usually 3 feet.
In the US, if it's an attractive woman, usually 6 inches.

So for all of us, I would imagine it's a gradual increase power delivery in comfort mode without sacrificing mileage (as they claim)...but full fury in Sport.

^ that's a good way of describing it. Comfort mode to me before was a bit to eco-y. It was good for city driving, but if you needed to dart in and out, you had to go to sport. Now, you have the best of both in comfort mode. and for full on fun who cares, you have sport mode. There's still a diff btwn comfort and sport mode. they are just both more responsive.

Yes, I did the coding for it many many months ago..just curious if they turn it on for PPK customers as I think they should.

Also, comfort mode actually does tighten up at speed and load as stated in the manual...all the modes do and you can feel it. In Sport it's just way more boosted. Whatever the case, I can say that sport mode has bled much more gas for me on a daily basis so I use it seldom use it just like I rarely use Eco-Pro.

Yeah, it would be a nice touch. I'd be surprised if they didn't. When I was looking around the forums for people who'd coded it, I didn't see anyone who had the graphic on default. Do you know if it's on by default an a ZML car? I have a ZSL car -- it's not on there by default.

As a daily driver, with the kid and wife in car comfort mode actually becomes nearly my favorite choice. It's more responsive, and it's like the old sport mode with just a pinch more lag in the pedal. That's not to say you can't use sport mode with the fam though. It's just more sensitive. I have a manual too so i can do things with the clutch to adjust it and tone it down more to a degree I guess but by no means is sport mode undriveable with a family or as DD.

Yeah, not overpriced imho when you factor all the othr mods you may do to your car. It really depends on how much tinkering or time you have to tinker or worry about things. I wanted more HP without having to deal with tuning maps, warranty issues and stuff. Just 'set it and forget it'. type thing. With the kid, long gone are the days of car issues being errands I could dedicate a day to. Time is money, so to me this was worth it just not having to worry. The power increase is as expected.

I'm interested to see real dyno runs though. But 20hp is what i feel. BMW may be underrating it a bit but don't quote me as I haven' dyno'd it and don't want to spread internet rumors until someone dynos it.

Don't think it's wheel. The car is In wheel hp. when you're driving it they can't be dynoing the engine when there's friction being exerted (ie: car is being driven)
I don't think the sport display dynos anything. The displayed numbers are based purely on some calculations.

Who was your service advisor at Sterling? I will probably take mine there after I take delivery. Thanks.

the lack of exhaust pop and burble in the rev vide is perplexing....because when I got the power kit for my car, the first thing I noticed was the overly obnoxious (awesome) popping from the exhaust...

I want to get the m perf exhaust for my sport line but it's not an exact fit and it'll be a pain in the butt returning it and having to take off exhaust and put stock one back on.

Sport line exhaust is nice which is the one I have but too subdued. I would love the M perf exhaust but it's not a direct fit and for a lease it's going to be a pain of an issue
