I have install both IC and CP. It seems easy to remove both parts (unclip, remove some screws) by the workshop. Slide out in less than half hour. But installation takes longer time as need to adjust the angle of the CP. But for IC, there is a need to cut the front plastic ( only corners) a little to get it in. Anyway u can't see the cut from the front grill. Mine is F20 M135 so its a little diff to F30.

It's hard to say. Maybe marginally but it's hard to tell if there's more power bc the power that's there just seems smoother and a little more effortlessly. .. hope that makes sense, lol

I wouldn't say I could feel any butt-dyno power difference. I did some 4th gear pulls and logged on the JB4 and there are improvements in spool time and boost doesn't drop off quite as much off the map2 14psi target as RPM increases. It was also 40 deg outside when I was doing it so the car was pulling like a freight train anyways, and likely would have pulled just as hard with the stock IC.

What I was looking for in the Comp IC was to get less flow resistance for better throttle response and lower turbo spool times as well as increased ability to shed heat when I'm tracking in the heat of Texas summers. So, primarily for me this was a reliability mod - I want the car to continue to perform on lap 20 like it did on lap 1 - with the stock IC, the car would heat soak like crazy and in some cases overheat completely and pull timing/boost/throttle - basically do nothing productive till it cooled down.

With any mod just make sure you know what your goals are and mod toward those goals - If you're looking for fastest drag times - your money's much better spent on a meth kit than an IC. I could have done meth for tracking as well, just to keep the temps down, but I liked the permanence of the IC over having to worry about filling a meth tank, maintain nozzles etc. Just run cooler, recover quicker (i.e. during a braking zone) and increased top end and throttle response wouldn't hurt.

Man I really wish I would have logged on JB4 with the stock IC when it was 80 degrees so I could overlay with the new IC to compare boost spool and drop off....

I don't think you can expect too much gains in HP, maybe 5-10whp but its more to keep the air denser (cooler) longer and to reduce heat soak so you don't lose HP in between runs... I personally think its a must do mod for turboed engines...

Have you had a chance to weight the stock unit yet?

Lol, yea I work from home most of the time. I was actually going to go into the office today but it got cold in Houston so the city freaked out and everything shutdown.. People from up north would laugh at us.
