I can't tell you how much I really appreciate you and this forum right now. I told my SA about this and now that buzzing is gone. I never really knew what my car sounded like cuz of that stupid buzzing. And i drive and cruise around town at 2-3k rpm. Man im in love all over again.

Here's what was installed and another pic for attention 😎

If I get the buzzing sound between around 2k and 3k RPM, both with and without A/C, anyone know the solution?

Really? Why?
I hate SAs in Boston and he didn't want to put the exact TSB number in his system, and he claimed that he would let someone reproduced the rattlings at 2500RPM. But luckily bmw technicians are all very good and issued the TBS for me automatically

2017 F80 M3 owner here. Please see the 2 videos below. Is this the noise that everyone is/was hearing before the fix? Audible under load in 2nd, 3d, and 4th gear between 2-3000 rpm.

Nope, the 335 noise was a harmonic buzzing sound.

I'd be interested in what your dealership finds. I have the same rattling sound in my 335i around 2,500rpm under load.

What exactly did they do during the service?
I took my car in for the same issue and told the service advisor about the bulletin; he told me it would not be covered under my cpo warranty and it would come out to $415 and some change. $390 in labor and the rest for the part. I asked him why labor was so much and he said the technician would have to, "Take a bunch of stuff apart and add this clamp". From the images you showed it looks like you simply add the clamp without having to take anything apart.

Bulletin states that there is an intermittent whirring noise from the IHKA system when the engine is under load between 2,000 and 3,000 rpm, and sometimes higher RPMs.

Cause has been identified by BMWNA as vibrations coming from the A/C low-pressure hose, which are resonating into the heating and air conditioning system. (In my 335, this resonance could be heard in the cabin, and felt in the steering column.) The resonance will rattle/buzz whatever is loose in the dash.

BMW has developed a new mass weight kit to dampen vibrations in the A/C low pressure hose, being transmitted from the engine.

After experiencing this problem from the second week of owning my new F30, I had this kit installed today. Problem first manifested itself at about 200 miles, today I have over 4500 miles. When I applied moderate load to the engine in gears 1 to 4, there would be an unmistakable engine vibration right around 2500 RPM. My experience matches many of the videos posted by other Bimmerpost members.

My dealer was earnest in attempting to isolate the problem. First repair attempt, they initially found an engine cover loose. Second repair attempt they insulated the plastic engine cowling, nav screen, AC hoses, etc. Felt tape / wrapping was applied in multiple locations. 3rd attempt, after driving the car without the dash, and still hearing the noise, they isolated the problem to the AC hose. I can't say enough about the terrific service efforts at the dealership. They worked tirelessly, including researching the problem from the various Bimmerpost threads I sent them. After communicating with their regional BMW reps, they were told a service bulletin was coming.

Bulletin was released this week, part ordered Monday, delivered Thursday, and installed today. Am very hopeful this will do the trick and I'll finally be rattle/vibration/whirring noise free. Highlighted circle in the picture below shows the new kit installed on the A/C hose.

Drove the car about 15 miles today. The vibration/buzzing/whirring sound are definitely better – but need more drive time to fully determine if this new mass weight kit has cured all ills.

I'm trying to figure out if my 2015 428 is having the same issue or something different. Does it sound like the video in my recent post ?

I can hear a low level buzzing noise. I have a 2015 428 as well and have a low level whistling/chirping noise. Seems to be coming from the passenger side. Sounds similar but not quite the same as yours but it's been bugging me.

I also have an intermittent rattle when the car is stopped and in drive. The hard drive is also noticeably louder on this car than previous.
So many annoying noises from these cars...

Yeah that's for sure! Does it bother you on a regular day commute or does it only bother you when you purposely turn off music to listen for it ?

I think because I am aware of the different noises, psychologically maybe I'm listening for it more.
But it's the low level whistling/chirp that bugs me as I can't really tell where it's coming from but it's there. Higher speeds or with the music playing I can't hear it. I just know it's not a normal noise. I tend to ignore it unless it gets any worse.

It also stems from my previous car that had a high speed drone. It was quite difficult to tell as it was low level and also sounded like tyre rumble. But it was confirmed by a few technicians so I wasn't just imagining it. Which gradually got worse and louder to the point I couldn't drive more than 60-70 mph. I had to live with the car like that for a few years as no one could pinpoint the cause.
