Catted midpipe ?

Should i weld a high flow 200 cell cat on the midpipe ?

I finally put on the ER catless dp tht i bought over a yr ago, along with the stage 1 flash. Pairing it with the AWE catback, it sounds mental. I really love the sound but cant stand the smell. Mainly too many popo in town, i really needa get rid of the smell.

Also, I dun wanna spend another 6-700 ish to get another dp

Weld a 200 cell cat on midpipe closer toward the downpipe end. Do u guys think it would get rid of the smell ?

It would work. You could even add in a catted test pipe portion that can be swapped with a straight pipe when you don't want it installed.

i had a similar experience with my 435i.
had one welded in at the mid pipe. i works and drops the smell down but it's probably only 65% as effective i think due to the positioning. doesnt get hot enough quick enough compared to being closer up in the system.

still was good enough for me. my next downpipe would be catted.
