How do you launch 335i AWD 6 Speed

How do you perfectly launch a 335i AWD manual? I just bought it and I don't know where to shift perfectly. It takes no time to reach 6k rpm on 1st gear and if you change to 2nd gear, it goes to 4500rpm and I don't think that's the best way to do it. I've seen some thread where people start on 2nd gear.

Any tips?

if you keep the traction control on, it has launch control. put it in sport+ mode, clutch in, mash the throttle and it will rev to approx. 3000rpm.

Other wise you gotta do it by feel. Keep in mind that the F30 has a clutch delay valve so even if you dump the clutch, the clutch will engage slowly to not damage anything. I believe the intent was to protect the differential but don't quote me on that.

I believe the clutch delay valve is integrated into the slave cylinder so many folks swap in an e90 slave cylinder since the clutch delay valve for it was remotely located.

You can remove it and eliminate it or "drill it out" to increase the flow. I found this recently myself. Just need an extra hand and will be removing this little piece of metal:
