You don't want it on matte plastics. They probably taped the window trim out of habit, but since ours are painted it should be fine to coat. I did on mine,

They said the buffers would burn though the black plastic trim parts so they're covered to prevent this the grill parts are more durable plastic , to do paint correction and apply coatings was $700 . https://www.myhotcars.com/detail-center/
I recently got this car was a CPO since then tinted the windows got a set of M3 stock 18" wheels with snow tires and turned the engine and transmission. Stage 1 Mission Tuning.

Ah, makes sense with paint correction. I assumed you just had it ceramic coated.
