440 x-drive 6-MT bm3 stage 2+
Hey everyone
I have some questions about clutch reliability with some of my current mods and mods to come. Important to note that I live in Newfoundland and only have access to 91octane fuel. Current Mods: ER Catless DP MPE Agency Power Intake Bm3 stage 2 I'm looking at upgrading to the Dorche HPFP so I can run OTS Stage 2+ map. This is the expected gains from Stage 2+ Stage 2+ 91 octane: up to 37% HP / 62% TQ Based on stock numbers of 320hp 330tq that would leave me with 438hp and 532tq These torque numbers kinda scare me with the stock clutch. Whats the consesnus on clutch tq sustainability? Is the HPFP a reasonable next upgrade?

Regular Stage 2 91 caused my clutch to start slipping after 8 months. Went with 335is/550i clutch and it holds on great even now that I'm on stage 2 E30. It's almost a guarantee that it'll start slipping. It's not the clutch, it's the pressure plate. But you don't really buy those separate.

You'll want parts: #1 (clutch kit), #4 (you need 6 of these), #5, and #6. I purchased them all on FCP Euro for around $350ish with free lifetime replacement. I paid my mechanic friend $840 for the clutch install. |

550i clutch holding my E85 tune great. Upgrade if you're doing above stage 2. It'll also make sure you don't ruin your flywheel from slipping the stock clutch so you can reuse it.
Replacement here costs ~$800. The clutch itself is ~$325. |

I'll second (third?) the last two...I replaced my clutch with the 550i clutch after going stage 2 BM3. Clutch is $$350 or so on FCP Euro (comes with everything you'll need). My install was right around $950 I believe
