Why are they all of a sudden disable all my remote service and ask me to call to activate. What a pain in the a$$.

Same here. Was working fine for my 440GC yesterday.

X3 on the other hand, has had issues for the past few weeks for remote services...

EDIT: SOLUTION FOUND

For some reason it appears their server reset remote services to disabled. You will have to go login to BMW ConnectedDrive to select "Enable Remote Services"

Did that and reset again after couple hours. I have not get my remote service to work since they migrate to the new backend since last August.

Now the Android app available in Canada doesn't even open!! It's always showing a server error and closing. What an awful app!

canadian33 can you please say, if you can, what the hell is going on with the Canadian Android app or the servers supporting the connected services in Canada? Even after reinstalling the app now it is always auto-closing when you open the app, showing a server error. It's terrible.

Is there any timeline for when remote functionality will be restored to affected customers?

Remote services still don't work for our X3 and it's almost been a month.

Yes, mine stopped registering the trips as well.

I noticed that the icon “Other Apps” is showing up again in my iDrive. So it shows all the compatible apps on my Phone. That icon had disappeared for a little while as well.

Interesting... I was using the ancient BMW Remote app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...=us.bmw.remote) because it was the only one available in Canada until a few weeks ago, apparently. It seems BMW recently released the BMW Connected app here in Canada (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...w.connected.na), looking very similar to the same app available in the US and this one seems to be way less buggy although still far from what clients are expecting considering the competition (at that we're talking about premium cars).

I wonder why the f* BMW didn't say a thing about that "new" app available in Canada?!
Anyway, with the new app I can log in and use remote services now, including remote view what has never been a thing on Android in Canada.
I just hope they improve this new app with info like doors status, what's still lacking.

I used to use the connected app from US. Last week they updated the connected app in Canada, every since some of the functionalities have been stripped out.

US App:

- Locate Your Vehicle
- Send Destination to Vehicle
- Locking Doors
- Check Door Lock Status
- Ventilation
- Schedule Ventilation
- Honk Horn
- Flash Headlights
- Check Fuel Level
- Check Fuel Range
- Check Mileage
- Transmission Mode: Event Based

Canada App:

- Locate Your Vehicle
- Send Destination to Vehicle
- Locking Doors
- Ventilation
- Schedule Ventilation
- Honk Horn
- Flash Headlights

Following function have been stripped out of Canada App

- Check Door Lock Status
- Check Fuel Level
- Check Fuel Range
- Check Mileage
- Transmission Mode: Event Based

Not sure whats going on. I called Assist support line. They have no answer. I was told to call back in a few weeks.

I've just seen it. I'm usually following the X3 G01 forum, so I didn't see your thread.

Anyway, the 'new' app is working fine, much better than the old one but I would like to know if stuff like doors status is coming to the Android app for Canada as it's pretty useful.

I am using BMW Connected iOS version, worked very well until someone messed up with the backend server(s)... The app still works but the Trip Summary has only one entry dated June 17.... nothing has been recorded since !

Still unresolved - going onto past 2 months of no remote services. ConnectedDrive call center has been less than helpful.

My BMW Connected app has been working correctly since I bought the car, but I've recently found out that the Connected app breaks the bluetooth audio streaming from my phone.

Ever since the iOS 12.2 update, I've been having problems with streaming audio via bluetooth from the iPhone. I figured it was an iOS problem, but the dealer thought it was an iDrive software issue. So I had the iDrive software updated last week at the dealer. Nothing changed, I would still not be able to connect to the iPhone music from the iDrive, and when I would start it from the phone, the bluetooth audio connection would randomly drop.

I read a post in the iDrive subforum where a member fixed the bluetooth audio connection issue by deleting the BMW Connected app.
Figured I would give it a try. I deleted the Connected app, and everything started working as it should again. I tried downloading the Connected app again, and bluetooth audio streaming stopped functioning correctly. Another Connected app delete, and back to being OK.

So it seems one of the Connected app updates in the last few months has a bug. It pretty much comes down to either having the Connected app, or being able to stream music via bluetooth.
Has anyone else experienced this? Canadian33, do you know if it's a known bug that you guys are already working on?
