What is the appropriate resell value and depreciation??? THOUGHTS???

Obviously anyone who resells their wheels would like to at the very least recoup their cost of the set.

What are your thoughts of the appropriate depreciation to apply on reselling used wheels???

Obviously mileage, condition, brand, demand are all factors, but I would say 40-60% is appropriate to apply on mint condition wheels with minor curb rash...

What are your thoughts? Any personal experiences you have had on reselling your wheels??

Depends, if its a stock OEM wheel that comes with all the base models, its more like a loss of 70%+ compared to MSRP for new wheel.

Unless you refinish the wheels, there will in general be a loss.

How can they be mint with minor curb rash?

Maybe the factory had very poor QC?!

OP obviously it depends on if the rash is correctable or not. The market is self-correcting. If you can find someone who is willing to pay more, then it was appropriate for that person. YMMV. Look at the comps out there and name your price and gauge the interest. You'll know it's the right price when it sells.

One would think this would be obvious, but perhaps not.

Depends on

1) Model
2) Size
3) where in life cycle
4) condition
5) aftermarket painted or repaired
6) TPMS year
7) location and shipping
8) tires

That’s the issue. Sellers almost always exaggerate condition.
