Automatic Transmission "clunk"
Driving back from the dragstrip it felt as if my transmission was making a clunk/jolt when I remove my foot from the accelerator. I'll be hovering at about 1800-2000rpm and when I remove my foot it'll feel as if there's a physical clunk within the drivetrain. It felt similar to a poor shift with a manual. I doubt there's something seriously wrong with the transmission since they're supposed to be bulletproof in our cars, but is it possible for it to be a bushing or something similar? The car is 55k, FBO, Dinan turbo, and WMI btw.

Guibo (flexdisc) at the driveshaft, diff mounts, are most likely causes.

Having said that your problem is likely not transmission, and the suggestions above are good things to check. |
