Where to buy LSD?
I have a 2018 red 6mt 340i and want to buy an lsd for better traction (really don’t do track days). Where can you get one in the states? I tried and failed to buy an m performance lsd

Bmw had official LSD kit for 340i RWD cars. But not for 340xi awd cars.
Auto and 6 speeds have different part numbers. BMW had a final sale on these about a 18 months ago. They are now NLA. I am not sure what bmw would do in a warranty situation. And yes - some of those late 2018 cars still under bmw ext warranty. Some were punched in 2019. |

www.bmwpartsnow.com or www.bmwpartsworldwide.com pretty much trade off having the lowest prices. Parts Now is Knauz BMW north of Chicago and Worldwide is BMW of Orland Park in south Chicagoland.
For the automatic. Again, only automatic. If you have a 340XI, your only option is Diffsonline. They can build you a fully customized unit. I had one built for my 435XI by them. It transforms the car. They did an excellent job. Best BMW diff builders in the U.S. If you're RWD, you may be able to source a used M Performance LSD. Diffsonline would still be your better option, but it is expensive.
