Car cannot detect seat position when I turn off engine
I can't find the one answer I got before but it said to try moving seat all the way up and then all the way back. I tried that with no luck.
Question remains, how much is labor and parts for a new sensor to detect seat location? Thanks. Charlie |

Again, are you pressing the seat memory button to move the seat to a saved seat memory (when the engine is off)? Or are you referring to some other operating parameter? Or have you saved a seat memory and its not going to the position you set?

Neither memory related function works...the seat will not retain a memory nor will the seat return to a previous memory. Because the car cannot locate the seat position. T he display says cannot locate the seat position. Clearly the sensor feed to the car is not working which leads to my question about labor and parts to replace the sensor, which of course may not be the problem. The problem could be elsewhere but this seems a logical first step. We'll, maybe after checking out part of the ecu. Or rebooting something
