I'm still analyzing the interior.. it has alot more buttons than i'd like. Especially when it already comes with an I-drive controller. why all the physical buttons? Steering wheel center area seems a bit big, hopefully the M-sport version gets a more refined looking one. It reminds me of the larger faced steering wheels in the E39 5-series or the Older BMW.
The seats seem cheap in my opinion because it honestly reminds me of my sisters Infiniti I30 with the multiple stitching lines... Not very sport looking :/ The M-tech front bumper and kit looks like it will make a world of difference in the appearance of the car. Hopefully the interior bits get some tweaking as well. If not then there will be a huge market for some nice Piano trims for the radio opposed to the shiny aluminum looking pieces I LOVE the new Turbo 4-cylinder engine. Those MPG numbers look amazing and the tuning potential of that N20 engine will allow it to compete with its bigger brother Inline-6 Twin turbo while maintaining awesome efficiency. It makes soo much sense! Does anyone know when the F30 will be in showrooms?

I like it! Love that the interior has gone back to a more driver-oriented layout. Can't wait for the M3 and coupe variants to come out!

very cool, i got some thoughts...
The M-Sport front bumper assy. will look very cool for places where the front number plate is not required. The US/Japan front plates will protrude even more below the bumper comparing to the EU plates. Such a lack of continuity of lines around the i-drive screen... and it does not appear to be retractable. it simply looks odd/out of place... still not a fan.. Do I see amber light bulbs for the front turn indicators? NOT LED? There is a good chance the amber reflectors for the US market will NOT be part of the head light assy. yay! |

The back and the side view doesn't look very different from the E90 LCI imo. I love the exterior with the Msport bumper but I am not a fan of the interior. Does anyone else think it looks cheap? Its certainly a FAR cry from the F10's interior that some of you are comparing it to...
I read somewhere this car will be the most profitable 3 for BMW ever......i just hope its not coming at the cost for quality materials and reliability. Alan

So far so good. The front looks ok, the rear looks ok. The interiors look awesome, especially the alcantara cloth on the M-Sport, although I want to see interior views without the NAV option.
Dash looks clean and simple, awkward placing of heated seats, rear shade buttons seem to be gone. Also, the brakes have been updated to, what look to be, 4 piston calipers. My only beef is the side view, in this pic below the new 3er looks way too much like the Z4 . |
