Scratch on rear bumper
Hey everyone! So unfortunately while I was taking a look at my 435i I noticed this on the bumper. I really have no idea where it came from or how it happened but it really stinks. I just wanted to ask around and see if anyone knows how much it would be to fix this. Would I have to repaint my whole bumper for this or is there some other way to go about it to fix this? In the past with other minor imperfections (I.E. light scratches in my clear that you can't really see) I've kinda brushed them off and just thought to myself that its a lease and will more than likely be going back after but this is really bugging me. It really feels like all the little things add up and this really stinks. Thanks in advance for the help everyone!
(Please excuse my dirty bumper I haven't been able to wash it due to the weather) |

It's not a dent so PDR doesn't help. If the scratch removed paint then repainting is the only proper fix. If it's a lease and you can't be bothered then just use a touch up + clearcoat pen, follow with a cut polish after each application if you want to blend it into the surrounding paint and then do your best to forget about it.

Yea you can feel it a bit when brushing your nail over it. It doesn't appear to be ridiculously deep but I feel like since I feel it with my nail its gonna be a bit more complicated than I thought it would be :/

I had a scratch of similar sort before delivery of my new 340i. Luckily wet sanding did the trick and it's gone. Give that a try before attempting to repaint.
Of course, try cut polish first and if that doesn't work then wet sand. dL |

Has anyone else had experience with cut polish or wet sanding their bumpers for scratches similar to the ones I have? I know its difficult to tell with a picture but any information would be helpful.
