Midpipe question

This is a question for one of you exhaust experts out there.

I have a 435 xdrive and I have a Remus axle-back. Sounds great but wish it was louder like a full cat back.

What brand midpipe do you recommend I get? I want max sound. And is it common to see axle backs and midpipe from different companies?

A mid pipe won't do much in terms of volume. There's really nothing in the mid pipe that restricts volume, only the resonator, which, not to be redundant but, doesn't do much in terms of restricting volume. If you want "max sound" you'll need a catless downpipe, that's the best option after a muffler, which you've already done.

Oic thanks
Unfortunately I’m kind of hesitant with downpipe cuz then I gotta tune it to clear the cel and want to wait until I’m out of warranty with that

Since the resonator is the only barrier in sound then would just getting the resonator cut out be the same as getting a midpipe?

Fair enough.

If I understand the N55 exhaust system correctly, then yes, deleting the resonator would be equivalent to getting a straight thru or non-resonated mid pipe. That's assuming that the N55 doesn't have a cat in the mid pipe, which I don't think it does.

I'm in the same boat, want more bark but don't want to affect the warranty with a down pipe so I'm planning on cutting out the resonator. Car already has a MPE so fingers crossed it doesn't sound bad. I've had more than plenty my fair shares of cars with drone so it probably won't bother me as much as it might others.
