I like it! It is different and well done. Plus, it protects the hell out of the clear coat up there.

It looks fine. If you have a carbon fiber roof wouldn't you have a fin to match?

Looks like solid work. If you have the roof wrapped, you can't leave the fin white.... I'm talking to a shop about getting my roof wrapped and they are saying I need to take the fin off for them to wrap the fin also. Was it just taped on with 3M?

They were also saying that the two strips on both sides of the roof that have the roof rack clips would be hard to do b/c they have rubber or plastic tips on the end. No issues with that? They said if you wrap that, it could start to peel in the near future.

Yeap, it's just 3m cf wrap.

As with the tips, they had no issue with it, I saw the whole process, looked easy.
Why they can't take off the fin for u? This sound stupid to me, make sure they know what they talking about and don't get ripped off.
How much was ur qoute?

$300. They are a sign/wrapping company. I've seen pics of their work and they look like they do a really good job. My guess is that they aren't mechanics or car experts so they don't want to take it off and be liable.... So was the fin just on there with 3m tape?

Mine is actually exactly like yours - alpine white on red interior. I'm going to do gloss black to match the grill but your carbon fiber does look great. I talked to the shop yesterday and I wanted to try and get it done today but then the antenna issue came up so I'll probably mess with it tonight and then try and schedule the install for next Wed.

Please don't go to a shop that only does signs and banners. They have specific ways of doing things. For example... They may be good with xacto knives on a cutting board, but I'd say the surface of your car isn't a cutting board. Take it to a shop that does wraps on automobiles. Wrapping is not difficult... It's just all in the technique, tools, and experience. Take it to the wrong place and you'll be crying after.

I saw it too, that's what happens when you have kids.

Roof looks good, but I agree with bizzyqu about the fin. Still,

As I stated above, "They are a sign/wrapping company." Wrapping as in vehicle wraps. Like I said, I've seen their work and they do great wraps and offer warranty - they just asked that I be responsible for removing the shark fin.

Looks awesome! Good to see the roof rails wrapped too! Hope to do the same with gloss black when my car comes.

I forgot. Think it's 30% tint.

I have a couple of questions for you, where can i get the wrap and how difficult is it to remove. I live in New Jersey and i have alot of car shops that can do this for me, just not sure if they have the wrap material already on hand. My main concern is that my F30 is a lease and in 3 years i'll need to remove it before i return it. If it's easy to remove, i'm all over this!! i think your roof looks awesome!!
