OK, I will!

Snapper Rocks Blue with white interior. I love light colors and find them more energizing, and the SNB is just stunning! Of course, the light leather will require some attention to keeping it clean, but it can be done. I’d say the dealer sales people were rolling their eyes a bit at the order, given they order their stock almost exclusively dark, but it sat in the showroom two days after delivery because we were out of town, and apparently customers were gaga over it! Driving it for a week now, it is amazing the number of compliments you get on the overall looks of the car and the SNB.

Plus, I've got two more pics. First one is taken on a cloudy day and the second is a sunny day, though in the shadow of a bldg. Shows you how much the color changes in the light :

Gonna get tints soon, then looking forward to sharing more pics in the future!

When I recently posted my new SNB 440i GC I included a bunch of rationale for most of my configuration choices. One thing I forgot to mention was my opinion on window tinting. While I can understand a few cases of where someone is seriously bothered by too bright an environment, otherwise I would never tint my windows! WHY do some people do that??? Please explain it to me! It has to be because you don’t want others to see you! And why would you do that? Because you want to drive like a jerk and not have eye contact with those observing you! So, I have always maintained that when you tint your windows you should also install one of those yellow caution diamonds, like the ones that say “Baby On Board”, only they should say “A...Hole On Board”. But then again, that may not be necessary, as others will already know it when they see the tinted windows.....

C’mon folks, leave that to the Hemi Dodge Charger crowd. Try not to undermine the class of the BMW...

But, that’s just my opinion.....Just say’in....

for me simple:
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA HOT WEATHER!!
not sure how the hot weather in your area is, but here in So. Cal. you have
many days of 80 plus degrees and to drive around with the hot sun hitting you it does get to you. so the tint with the AC helps a lot.

Yeah, I'm actually not a fan of dark tints myself. My primary goal with tint is simply heat reduction. I've got 50% Crystalline tint on my F30, and it REALLY does cut down on the heat entering the car. We're already noticing that our untinted F36 interior heats up quite fast after just a few minutes in the sun.

I'm actually thinking of doing 70% Crystalline so that it better complements the SRB paint.

Very interesting, well that’s useful then. I wonder if you can get a heat reflecting film that isn’t darkening at the same time. You can get that for home windows...

On the topic of heat in our cars, have others noticed how in the BMWs it seems to blow warm air out of the vents much more and longer when first starting to vent, after the car has been run. Seems like BMW routes their vent ducts with much more engine compartment exposure than other cars. When I mentioned it to my sales guy, he smugly said “that’s what air conditioning is for”. A bit of a pain....
