Joined the Aldi club

Having lost the 335d to a 80yr old driver not paying attention and not being able to find a suitably spec'ed and priced replacement left me no choice.
Just picked up a Sept 2015 A4 3.0 TDI Quattro with loads of options like virtual cockpit, HUD and adaptive cruise. Still playing about with all the stuff as it's over 2 screens but I am sure I will get there.
Will of course still be keeping an eye on this forum, it's been a great wealth of knowledge and advise without too many keyboard warrior posts.
Big thanks to all who have offered me advise over the last 2yrs

An Audi forum full of bellends - who'd have thought it?

Next you'll be telling us that the Focus ST forum is full of chavs, and the Range Rover forum is full of pretentious tossers...

Still in discussions but I think we will end up meeting in the middle so shouldn't be too bad.

Thanks

Nice car. Good spec. Great interior. Sure you won’t really miss the 335d.

Missing the power of the 335d but in all honesty you rarely get to use it.

It was late 2015, this is a demo that was in a show room so it is kitted out with many options

Looks good.

Good idea to get a bright red one - hopefully an old duffer will spot you next time

Looks very good, nice to see an Audi that isn’t black white or grey.

Nice wheels as fitted to S4.

You will adapt to power, sure you will rarely notice it in real world...

Looks nice inside apart from that huge auto gear stick that looks like something Han solo would push forward on the millennium falcon.

It’s designed so that you can rest your arm completely, it works very well indeed.

It's actually very useful - same as in my S5. Just in the right place to rest your hand to use the AMI controls.

Totally agree about the Audi forums - I was on the A5OC one about 5 years ago and there was some decent banter on there - now it's tumbleweed central. Audi-Sports not much better but at least they have a dedicated B9 section.

OP - what's the BHP on the 3.0TDI now? It was 245 (IIRC) when I had it in the A5 a few years back - didn't notice too much of a change to the 435D that I replaced it with.

Mates dad used to research it and statistically compared to number of each colour vehicle sold red was the safest.

It's 268bhp so probably more comparative to the 330d. I loved how aggressive the 335d felt in sports, the Audi is quick don't get me wrong but not the same shove when you floor it

You're thinking of the Audi B9. The thread headline says this is an Aldi. I think that is a Chinese factory that makes very good counterfeits of European cars.
