Just talked to BMW Genius. Car is already through VPC and handed off to trucking company, car is estimated to be at dealer on Tuesday, May 2nd. Not even a full 24hours at VPC. I take that as a good sign of no damages at least.

My car finished production on April 12th in Germany. Now it's May. Still have nothing about the vessel... OTELLO departed on April 28th and almost gets to UK now... WWL usually updates the cargo on the departure day. Does anyone know if any car is loaded on OTELLO?

Just called GENIUS, and they told me my car is on OTELLO from the 28th! I'm surprised that WWL still hasn't updated on their tracking site. Vessel is expected to arrive NJ Port on the 9th, even faster than PATRIOT/GLOVIS CONDUCTOR which departed one week before OTELLO.

OK, if anyone can figure this one out they deserve a medal.

I was on the Patriot which left on 4/20 and then docked in ZEE. They took the car off the boat on 4/28 and then shows it was "loaded on vessel" on 4/29. It looks like the Glovis Conductor was there on that date as the Otello didn't arrive until later.

When I track now it says it's on the "Faust" with an arrival in New York on 1/2/2017 (right...) The Faust ship is currently in Asia as well.

When I call BMW Genius today they say that the car is still on the Patriot with an estimated arrival on 5/9/17... which is when the Otello is arriving, but not the Glovis Conductor.

Anybody have any clue what's going on? I'm gonna guess that car is just floating across the ocean on it's own at this point.

Hi bubbajk, your car should be on Glovis Conductor. WWL has updated the booking for those going to Canada. ACA71601 (NYC) and ACA71603 (HAL) were both on PATRIOT, and I'm 99% sure that they should be both on Glovis Conductor now. WWL probably hasn't updated the NYC batch properly. My car is confirmed on Otello by GENIUS, but WWL doesn't have the tracking yet either.

OK, I was assuming it was on the Glovis... just can't get any confirmation and then Genius tells me its arriving on the 9th which doesn't make any sense, but I get the feeling that there's a lot of mixed information with the tracking at this point.

It's just crazy how many twists and turns this has taken since I ordered in February. I cannot wait for this car to actually arrive!

Glovis Conductor will arrive NY/NJ tomorrow early morning and Ottelo will arrive Friday morning! I have checked that cars on both vessels have already cleared customs! (This is a confirmation that ACA71601 batch is on Glovis Conductor even though the WWL website says FAUST.)

I don't know how the VDC will process this unusual schedule (two vessels within a week) while last week they didn't have any vessel coming in.

Thanks so much for the update! Now I just need to see how long it will take to get down to south jersey. Keeping fingers crossed here as well. Can't deal with any more unexpected side trips for this car!

Unless you took European Delivery, generally the cars will go quickly through customs and is done way before coming into port.

My order went through VDC in less than 24 hours. The pre ordered cars get priority and will even get worked-on on Saturdays. The car was at the dealer in just 6 weeks from ordering without the dealer already having an allocation ready.

Yes. Mine just hit 8 weeks. There was about two to three weeks from ordering to production start. Then the shipping got delayed a bit due to Easter holidays I guess.

Just spoke to my CA. Car got into the dealership last night. They are going to process it today and ready for pickup on Monday. That was fast!

Was anyone else's car on Otello?
GENIUS told me VDC received my car on Saturday, and expect to get to my deal on Thursday. My CA told me the car probably arrives on Friday.
Given the fast release for bubbajk, do you think VDC will release my car earlier?

Just called GENIUS again and they told me VDC released my car today! Let's see how long it takes the carrier and dealer to deliver it.

Interestingly, when I called the 800 number again, it changed the status to "at the port awaiting a shipping vessel". I have seen others reported the same behavior. It sounds like the system is reusing this as transporting from VDC to dealer?
