ECU question

So I had my ecu flashed by a tuner and been having issues with my car ever since. I took it to a bmw dealer so they could update my software so the flash would disappear and it was ok. I drove the car for a week or so and everything was good I was FBO minus a tune at the time. But after I purchased a jb4 and tried putting it on the car the car would begin to misfire and bogg while im driving the car. the idle would be terrible when the car was parked or not moving and no check engine lights came on or anything.

So long story short I think I need a new ECU I have a 435i and was wondering if I'm able to purchase an ECU from a wrecked 435i and just have the dealer program it to my vehicle or am I not able to do that?

Your ECU flash should be under some kind of warranty from your tuner, depending on how long its been.. Did you contact them? That's the first thing I would've done.

You should contact them asap, it is their flash that is causing you the problems. Even if its out of the warranty period from the tuner, they might help you out anyways..

Who are you tuned by?

Any respectable tuner should be able and willing to flash you to stock at any time.

Basically you can plug your laptop into your obd port and he will control your laptop from where ever he is.
