How much does it cost to replace a tire pressure sensor?
My tire sensor doesn't work. I have tried to reset it but still not working. Should I find a tire store to replace it like discount tire? Or I need to send it back BMW service Center to fix it? This is my first car so I don't really know what should I do.

Any tire shop should be able to help.
Price depends on where on this small planet you are, I am sure the price in South Korea is different from the one in Canada by a few cents at least...

TPMS sensors don't last forever. They have a coin cell battery sealed in and they do eventually die after several years. A BMW service center obviously would be able to replace the faulty TPMS sensor(s) and reset them to the car but that would be the most expensive option. Depending on where you live most tire shops like Town Fair Tire, Discount Tire should be able to help. Tirerack can ship a TPMS sensor(s) specific to your make/model car and they list installers and their ratings based off your zip code if you are in the United States. I've also had reasonable luck finding TPMS sensors by searching the OEM BMW part number specific to my car on Amazon at a substantial savings and had a local tire shop pop them in. Because you have a BMW it's pretty easy getting them initialized on the car. There are plenty of YouTube videos that explain the process for your model and year BMW.

They're over $200 per sensor OEM from BMW. If you did it all at a BMW service center, they'd probably charge you something like $400 or more for parts and labor just to replace the one sensor. I got this set of four aftermarket sensors https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HDKNTJH...roduct_details that work great for like 2/3 of the price of just one OEM sensor. I'd buy these and take it to a tire shop to have them installed if I were you.

Got four (4) TPMS sensors from Tire Rack for $140, installed for $0 when they mounted snow tires on my second set of OEM wheels. Worked fine all winter. Not sure how much they would charge without tires but m&b is usually about $25/wheel so maybe $250 total for all 4 installed? If one died, the others might go soon, so I'd probably replace them all at the same time. They can even come to your location and do it while you work or watch TV (or whatever else).

Had a sensor go out like 3 months ago. My indy charged me ~$200 to replace (sensor plus associated labor).
Do not go to a dealership, they'll overcharge you.

The sensors will either be HUF or Continental branded depending on year and application.
Huf LookUp is: https://www.intellisens.com/ Continental LookUp is: https://www.redi-sensor.com/application-look-up/ From there you can figure out if you need a preprogramed sensor, or if you can get away with a programmable. You'll also need to look up the valve stem for your RIM. BMW uses different lengths based on the RIM style, so don't assume all of the F30s are the same. Depending on the tire sidewall height, you MAY or may not need to have the tire fully disassembled from the wheel. Either way you should have the wheel rebalanced, though even with my Roadforce, I've managed to swap sensors without the need for weight adjustment. All that said, a programable sensor and a valve stem, plus the labor shouldn't be more than $80-$100 at reputable shop. FWIW the Conti stem and older SE10004A are under $40 in parts. |

Tire sensors don't need to be programmed. I ordered mine from TireRack with my wheel and tire package and upon installation I set the correct pressures, reset the system from the iDrive, and was golden.
