Simple install, basically just a metal ring that slips over the smaller idrive knob. Gives it some weight. Comes in brushed aluminum, I spray painted it black to blend in.

Please throw some links up if you get a chance! I've been scared to buy anything off aliexpress because I feel like it won't fit or look as expected. I really like the shifter knob and definitely interested in how that m perf diffuser fits/looks

I have my concerns buying from this source and using so much stuff from that place in my car.
I have doubts on durability and fitting correctly.
I bought the MMI, because… well there is no other way. It is a must for a 2014 ENTRY. The product is more reliable after updates, but for sure I had moments I was blaming myself for buy stuff from there…
I admit your cockpit looks awesome. I may consider Alcantara for center console.
Thanks for your post.

I’d ditch those Ti lug bolts. I’ve seen them sheer off on a friend’s car. Very disconcerting to see a wheel depart its hub while in a turn

It's basically China eBay. They have an AMAZING customer protection policy, and shipping can be fast or a couple months if it's small.

Typically if you have to pay for shipping, you get a tracking number and it's faster. If it's free shipping, then it can come in the slow boat and take longer. I've gotten stuff in 7-10 days, other times 6 weeks.

I've seen a lot of the stuff on Amazon, but you pay more $$$ there than directly from the source.

Here's some links to stuff I've bought off Ali. There is a lot of ugly stuff on there but you can find some nice things if you hunt around.

So far I've had great luck with pretty much everything. Honestly the quality is sometimes better than Amazon or other shops.

IE I bought a CF gear selector knob from Autotecknic and fitment sucked. The one off Ali was a third the price and much better.

I actually spent top dollar and got the Bimmertech MMI with backup camera for like $1k. It works fine but I was kicking myself when I learned I could get a 10.25 touch screen for half the price.

If you go the Alcantara armrest route my suggestion would actually be redlinegoods.com
They will customize the stitching and material for you any way you want and prices are very reasonable

It's about 2 hours give or take. Pretty easy TBH. I'd def recommend doing it with the steering wheel off.

All the real deal. For the dash and door trim I actually went with OEM F80 trim. That I picked up used off eBay

do you know the brand of the LED headlights? also full LED including low and high beam? $700 is not that expensive, but i wonder if its brightness compares with the OEM BMW.
