Just called BMW service department for an update on the vehicle production status. I was told my car (430i GC LCI) is already painted and should be finishing assembly tomorrow and will head to the shipping vessel afterwards. Seems to me they are moving pretty quick. For reference I ordered March 2 and I am in Puerto Rico which is still BMW NA.

Not true as far as I've been told by 3 different dealers. Trying to time mid-to-late June delivery and told I can get in early April allocation and get it here by then. Could probably have it sooner, but taking advantage of pull ahead program.

in my case as of now my order starts in May for July delivery. I went back to the post that was made back in February and it was just updated with the latest information that YES in fact LCI cars are currently being built for US delivery.
thing is that many dealers don't have all the information or they want to get rid off their MY17 stock before they start to offer MY18 LCI 4 series cars.

Are you getting track package? Just curious because looks like based on signature you've got M Brakes. How did you option those out if you're not getting track package?

I too was feeling deprived of being able to option the brakes as I opted for the front radar over the track pack. After reading all the noise complaints about them i feel it was a blessing in disguise that i couldn't get them.

On my 2015 GC the M Brakes were added by mistake by my CA. Pre 2016 it was a standalone option. So no I didn't have track package. On MY18 GC I won't be adding the M brakes.

M Brakes look nice with the FERRIC GRAY wheels but the brake dust right away turns them into black colored wheels. Yes very noise and as they wear out then get very loud. I did everything I could find to keep them quiet but that's how that set up is noisy.
For my next GC no M Brakes.

Placed my order on Feb 24th for a 2018 440ix Coupe. Car went into production first week of march. its already at the port of exit waiting for shipment. Im hoping for the end of March, beginning of April but was told end of April by Dealer.

No, the digital dash has not been announced how it will be packaged. It is not yet available in the US because of compatibility with HUD. Doubtful it will be standard with any trim, most likely part of the premium or exec pack
In other countries it is available as a standalone option.

NOTE: based on your profile saying canada, the canadian order guide shows it part of the premium pack

Hopefully, they weren't made by those drunk factory workers reported earlier...if you find a flask in your car, not a good sign

I ordered mine with Aluminum trim, but no pics yet. Car is in route to US and bmw usa websites does not have the 2018 available yet. if you get your car soon post pics

I think he is referring to the M performance carbon fiber console, shifter, and carbon fiber/alcantara dash trim. It is port installed but extra cost per piece.

I'm talking about the aluminium carbon trim, its a new trim option for 2018. Not the actual carbon trim!
