More injustice for Canada. I'm pretty sure US rate dropped to 3.9% already.

On a different subject, I made a separate post about alarm systems but didn't get any response from fellow Canadians, so here goes:

I have a new F30 335i in Canada. Page 39 of the manual talks about an interior motion sensor. I haven't been able to get an alarm to go off with the doors locked and someone in the car waving their arm about. I am suspecting that this is another missing feature for us here in Canada. Can anyone verify if they have this feature on a Canadian version F30 335i?

That's a good question! I thought the alarm system was standard because I saw it included in either the premium or executive package in the quote I have...

Maybe it's there but not working properly? :

Have you confirmed it applies to the 2012 3 series sedan? It may only apply to the 2012 3 series coupes. That is the challenge I faced when trying to get loyalty program discounts on my purchase.

Has anyone confirmed that this $1000 of 3 series applies to the F30? I've left a message for my dealer (London) to get back to me.

I just spoke to my dealer and can confirm the $1000 does apply to the F30! I just had my lease quote changed.

FYI - the residual dropped from 56% to 55% (for a 335i on 39 month lease) which ate up almost $600 of the $1000 savings.

Really?

I thought it only applies to the coupe and the cabriolet? Wow!

Good to know...

Dealer also told me that of the $1000 BMW Canada is paying $750 and dealer is paying $250. Can anyone confirm that their dealer told them the same thing?

That's what I'm told. Is it true? Can anyone else please confirm with their dealer on 39 month 335i lease?

Yes I think you are correct. Just spoke to my salesperson. He said since I've already negotiated a price I'd get the 750 off.

Does anyone in Ontario know how the multiple security deposits work? For example the rate is 4.9% standard, what does to drop to with each extra security deposit?

...and each deposit will be worth $250, correct?

So to bring down my interest rate from 4.9% to 4%, I'm going to have to put down a total security deposit of $2,250???

Wonder if this helps? I understand the deposit gets returned back?

sec dep would depend on your monthly lease payments, i.e. round-up to nearest 50. if your lease payment is $565, then your sec dep is $600. you pay upfront 9+1 months: $6,000

after returning your leased vehicle, you get a cheque in the mail after a few weeks, less any repairs if any
