Hiccuping revs?

Hi , I tried to put constant gas and the engine kind of hiccups while my pressure on the pedal stays constant. the RPM goes up to 2000 and then after quite a while it drops like a hiccup and gains back again. its a B58 engine 2016

any reason for this?

Is the engine cold? What's the outside trump. I get this when the engine is cold and it's neg 10C or lower.

had this happen to me a month ago. engine was cold ~ 20F. Was warming up car and rather than just idle i kept the rpms at 2000 and after a few minutes it started hiccuping. from 2000 to 1800 then back to 2000.
