Hey Tengo,

Hows the 330e going?

I'm considering changing a 420d M Sport for the 330e Sport....

I do about 30k per annum average day is about 90-110 miles, with some bigger journeys periodically. How does your driving compare - and, if you don't mind the 1,000,000 questions - what kind of MPG are you getting please?

I'm really unsure about losing the leather and body kit, but in terms of spec can only really stretch to:

Pro Nav £900
Heated Seats £325
Harmon Kardon £625

The residuals just aren't as good as they are on the 420d!

Work pay me 13ppm - so I think I need to get 42MPG overall to break even based on £1.13 per litre.

Test drove it today - and did like it although it felt less special than the 4.

Yeah it's really good. My wife loves it and uses more than me, I still prefer to use the 335d we have, as it has lots of nice mods and a lot more powerful. However in answer to your question, we average 45mpg since new, charging every night. Wife's commute is 80-90 miles per day.

Longer trips, say when we go to Scotland are more like 39mpg, and that's same as a colleague who has one that she never ever charges.

Only downside is the smaller fuel tank which means you're filling up every 350 miles compared to 450 or more in a diesel.

Stubbsy74's right .......almost!.......most of the Dakota leather is leather indeed but on the seat 'facings', the side bolsters are in fact vinyl very cleverly embossed to look like it's leather!

Really? I'd have lost money on that one. Must have a wee look tonight and see if I can see the difference. On a car that's near £40K that's a shocker, though sadly I have to say something you see on quite a few interior finishes - the sunvisors and the luggage cover being two particularly naff items.

Yeah me too! I only know this because I've just had a minor repair done on mine where the covering was showing what can only be best described as a sort of 'kill cracking', about an inch and a half long. The company who repaired it (absolutely brilliantly I must add....only right since it was a hundred quid to get it done) told me and showed me the difference in the patina on the finish compared to the seat facings, mind you I was hard pressed to see the difference! He also told me BMW are not the only ones to do this apparently Merc and Audi are the same, at least with cars they've repaired. If you option Individual nappa leather then it is all leather which now explains to me the significant extra price over the 'standard' leather!

What is it they say..."Every day's a school day!"
