For those that have seen my progress towards building a direct-injected only N55 car capable of 600+whp SAE on full E85 (Ethanol sensor reading at least 85% E) here: https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...4&postcount=25

I just got the okay from Dorch to let everyone know that they will be starting production on the Stage 3 HPFP kit soon!

Some additional information from Chris at Dorch:

"As for the production kit, the final flow percentage gain number still may change, so that’s the only thing not set in stone. That call will be made in the next month here as we finalize more testing before ramping up production (finally!). The kit will come with a new flange and it will work with existing S1 and S2 kits, but depending on when the original HPFP kit was purchased, their pump may need to be sent in for an update service. This will most likely be free of charge with the purchase of the lift kit."

A single 525/hellcat pump should support 600+ whp.

I’m not opposed to it. I’m looking into options I have for ~600whp. I would just prefer to run full E85 but would still consider a E85/meth mix.

A single Walbro 525 should be sufficient for low 600's. However, it flows a lot and you run the risk of blowing a line in the LPFP assembly. I had to upgrade mine to a sturdier line. You will also need to run the EOS BPM4 EKP to support the single pump.

this pump will outflow the fx180 correct? I'm looking for 600 on e85 with a flex fuel analyzer for simple fill and kill on one tune. MHD is coming out with all necessary components very soon as bm3 has is my understanding.

For sure lol.

None of the current pumps on the market come close to the stage 3. Should be between 115% to 125% increased flow over stock. We'll find out the specifics once Dorch finalizes their testing.

Here is the official product page for the N55 lift kit that pairs with Dorch Stage 1 and 2 pumps that is coming soon with some more information:

https://dorchengineering.com/product...-hpfp-upgrade/

It will add an additional 49% flow on top of either the stage 1 hpfp or stage 2 hpfp.

The stage "2.5" setup (Stage 1 + Lift Kit) will yield 117% flow over stock.

The stage "3" setup (Stage 2 + Lift Kit) will yield 160% flow over stock. This is the setup that I'm currently testing for Dorch on my DI-only build.

It's unfortunate this isnt compatible with OEM HPFP, still waiting for a HPFP solution that does not require a tune.

Okay so based on the revised numbers on the Dorch website, the Lift Kit will essentially create these HPFP options from Dorch:

HPFP cc/rev %> List$

Stock 0.837 ——— ——-

Dorch1 1.221 +46% $1,100

Dorch2 1.465 +75% $1,600

D1+Lkit 1.818 +117% $1,900

D2+Lkit 2.181 +161% $2,400

One can dream! Cali life

I'm assuming it's because you want to be able to smog on the stock tune while keeping the hardware the same (Or only having to swap out the downpipe)?

Correct, i want to be able to completely uninstall tune/software from DME to be able to smog and retain HPFP. I am on fabspeed DP and i am not worried about any of my other hardware for smog check. So as of right now i can still (in theory) pass smog just fine because everything i have installed is compatible with stock tune, and i don't expect them to notice or care about anything they might see like MST inlet or a CP.

There's no way i will be swapping a HPFP every 2 years to smog, so HPFP upgrade is basically a no go unless/until there is another option.

Yeah, the B58TU HPFP runs off the stock tune DME but then there's potential engine risk to take on with hardware incompatibility.

Its an option as you can install it stealthily enough to be undetected and just disable on stock tune but not something i personally want to do as i would rather keep everything DME controlled.

Dorch's lift kit is out!

https://dorchengineering.com/product...-hpfp-upgrade/

And it seems like the tune adjustment is already available on BM3 and coming soon to MHD.

Hi,
I have installed the N55 lift kit on my N55 and running a stage 2 dorch hpfp. I was wondering if you had any tuning problems. I can’t maintain fuel rail pressure and Dorch are trying everything remotely as I am in Sydney Australia. May I ask what tune are you running and who did the mapping?
Cheers

What tuning platform and tune are you on right now?

BendCalibration (cookiesowns) tunes my car on EcuTek.

Did a shop install the lift kit on your car? Did they move the cam follower and sensor from your stock vacuum pump into the Dorch vacuum pump?

Here is my car after a dyno session last Friday using this Dorch Stage "3" (Stage 2 HPFP with the lift-kit).

Full E85, DI-Only: Dorch Stage 2 + Lift Kit, EU5 M5 Injectors, Walbro 535 as the primary pump supported by EOS EKP

Turbo Kit: Speedtech EFR 8474 with inconel shielding and custom lines by SD Garage

Downpipe: Modified Fabspeed 200cell High-Flow cat

Intake: Stock

Tune: Bend Calibration

Final numbers landed at 717WHP STD - limited by the EU5 M5 injectors. I have Nostrum Stage 2 injectors on the way which will give more headroom.

Definitely wouldn't have gotten this far without Bend Calibration and SD Garage's help, so I want to give them a shout out
