A good chunk of the London Northwestern trains to MK, Northampton etc appear to be cancelled today..

Although since they got the franchise they are challenging Southern for being the worst!

Its hot, i'll grant you that, and it's pretty rare that it gets this hot. SNCF in France has also been reducing the speed of some of its faster trains.
Mind you, it gets hotter than this in other parts of the world where they seemingly run railways without problems.
I'm sure that Grayling has the answer. Oh, hang on a minute, he's been fired ...

I saw 38 at lunchtime on the A1 just north of St Neots.

Strangely in Peterborough when I was filling up, it actually rained for about a minute. Felt very strange being blasted by a hot wind and then warm rain at the same time.

Peaked at about 30C this afternoon, 29C as I post.

We do have fresh air, light breeze at the moment.

It's 39 at Heathrow about to fly out. The feels like is 42! Flight was delayed last night. Decided to go back home and return next day.

My home is cooler. I checked the wifi thermostat and our bedroom is 29.

Thursday was the worse working day of my life. It hit 37 or 38 outside and 48-51 degrees at my work (London underground) and we were expected to continue working as normal with full PPE and heavy work pants. Truly awful day todays rain is more than welcome

Wow, that sounds horrendous and surely dangerous to health in full protective clothing.

Well this was mentioned time and time again through out the week. Apparently theres no legal maximum temperature for working and they're approach was basically just keep hydrated and crack on 😂
