This afternoon I watched Schindler's List. Not seen it for years. I'd forgotten how long it is, but more importantly what a great, thought provoking film it is. For me it's a film I think everyone should see.

What films do you recommend we should all see at least once?

In terms of a meaningful war film (as per the OP) then "Paths of Glory" Kubrick's anti war classic, 1957 black and white but don't let that put you off.
