I like the format now (less of the stuff like news, and "star in a car" stuff)... and I like the three of them as a team, and individually... The show is still well produced and it deserves the audience it is getting...

Plus, this week, a bonus rendition of the theme tune from "Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere"...

It's an odd mashup of the old TG 'laddish nonsense' and the more car-focused newer content. The 'hot laps' with the chillies was amusing, and they managed to at least partially review the EV's but it all still feels a bit superficial.

I guess that's what TG (and GT) have become - less a car review programme, more 'light entertainment' - I'm both amused and bored by it in equal measure, but on balance it's improved over the previous series' as the chemistry develops between Harris, Flintoff & McGuinness.

I can't help but think there's still space for a decent review-based less jocular format, something 5th Gear was trying to do but never quite got to grips with.
