H&R super sport or just sport

I have base model 2012 328i and am going to lower it with either of these. I just don't want to scrape on bumps in the road or bottom out. Since I don't have the sport suspension tirerack is saying something like front 1.5 inch and rear 1 inch on super sport. I love the look of the super sports but couldn't live with it if they're going to mess my daily driver up.

So who here has either of these and how did you come to your choice? Ive had miatas and boxsters so I'm not worried about it being too low in the driver seat.

Is this a subject that's best to death or something? I didn't find a direct comparison like this when I searched.

If you dont have a lip you should be fine with the super sports in Phoenix.

My M sport bumper + lip with supersports did drag on some driveways in Phx.

No front lip on it yet... I pulled the trigger on the super sports. My driveway is a bitch so ill see how close it is before ordering a front lip.

Before I get to first impressions i'll just say doing this with a friend would be a million times easier and probably cut the time in half. It took me pretty much 6 hours was a break for food and lots of water since its 115 here in phoenix.

That being said I used the kies motorsports video where Bryan puts the sport H&R springs on his recently deceased 328i, RIP. It was very helpful and the job is fairly straight forward.

First impressions, wow it is low. I maybe have 5" ground clearance on the side skirts. My drive has a rather large bump to get over and backing out straight I did scrape. Going in angled worked like a charm though. The ride is not harsh but definitely felt sportier. I'll give the springs time to settle but overall I'm happy with the look and now with all the performance mods and these springs I think i'll be getting some 18" wheels and fatter tires next. The 225s break away before half throttle

Need some pics!

Would love to see some before and after shots!

Debating right now about the same thing.... I have the M-sport suspension so I'm concerned the Super sports might be too low, but worried the sports won't be enough

Might i ask what your wheel offset is ? im thinking of doing super sports, Im currently running 18x8 et32 245 40 18 square and of course like most im worried that the tries will rub with that 32ET.

Your offset may help me make some assumptions with my setup. Thanks.

I've been debating for awhile between supersports and sports and finally pulled the trigger on the supersports.

I'm running 19x8.5 235/35/19 front and 19x10 265/35/19 in the rear with the M performance lip on. I'm hoping it eliminates the wheel gap completely!

these are 18 by 7 offset is 33

the wheels are flush with the fender and quarter panel. I tried 255/50 in the front at first but had to go down to 235/45 in the front

255/50 in the rear and there is no gap, it actuallys tucks up under the wheel maybe 10 or 15 mms

After installing the Super Sports, could you guys re-align the front and rear camber within stock specs? I really don't want to deal with inner tire camber issues.

Thank you! Very slight rubbing on bumpy roads & definitely going to rub w/ 3+ people in the car. I haven't gotten aligned yet so I will probably add a bit more camber to the rear & get bilstein b8s in the rear.

As for ride comfort, running non rft on lowered suspension is still more comfortable than how it came stock but you feel the road more as expected.

What’s the offset on your wheels? Please update us on how your alignment goes too?

Looks great man!

The offsets are 37 on the LC818 rim. And will do!
