My run flats ran flat so early upgrade!

My new to me 340i came with new to the car Pirelli's. I ran over a not easily avoidable pothole that blewout a 4 inch tear in the front drivers tire and created a bubble on the following rear tire.

So I'm getting Michelin PSS put on instead.

Reading reviews it says these are pretty good in both dry and wet conditions, my previous favorite wet tires were the Continental Extreme Contact DWS on my Audi, I have no need for ice or snow based on my location but can see myself buying a winter set.

Question, how are these in the wet? What do you think?

This must have been some pothole ... any damage to the wheels?

What Pirelli tires does your car have now? P Zero?

Not a huge one, just with big teeth and a vicious streak a mile wide. A real killer.

I didn't see any damage to the wheel itself, fingers crossed there is nothing when they install the new tires.

Pirelli Pzero's.

Some pot holes will take any tire out. The factory Pirellis are good so it was just bad luck. Check Tireracks site for information while selecting your next tire.

I loved PSS's in the wet. I haven't run a pair on my BMW, but I ran a set for nearly three summers on my GTI. My winters were DWS 06's, so I've run a set of those for several seasons as well.

I found the PSS's to be every bit as good, if not better, in warm wet weather than the DWS 06's. I never had any issues when with hydroplaning when driving in a sane manner for the conditions and I never had wet surface grip issues either. Great tire all around.

I have PS4S and love them. Have worked out great for me the past two summers so far

Awesome! I’m hoping they can do the trick year round here in Seattle. If not i’ll look at a second set for cold wet weather.
