8 or 8.5

I should know this.

I have a 2015 F31 with a square setup. The wheels are 400M style and are 8 inches wide and 34et with 225/45/18 tires.

What I want to do is change to a staggered set up which is 225/45/18 in the front and 255/40/18 in the rear.

My question is does that set up use the 8.5 width wheel with a 47et or the 8 inch wheel with the 34et??

Thanks for the help!!

Thanks!!

I wasn't sure as this is my first X drive.

I had a 2015 335i with the staggered setup. I just wasn't sure. I think there is like a 0.3 percent difference in diameter so I should be fine in that aspect.

If your wheels are 8" square, 255 is too wide. I ran 225/45 front, 245/40 rear staggered tire sizes on 18x8s all around, but the diameter difference for that setup is 1.2%...AFAIK, that's too much for X-Drive.
