Handbrake or wheel brakes?
I've read of the handbrake doing it on other threads, I've also read somewhere that pulling the handbrake on a bit while slowing down removes corrosion from the drum which helps stop the squeal.

And if you do it whilst cornering it's great fun too!

Disc of rear wheel. Clean out dust. Clean and polish all contact surfaces to the handbrake mechanism (there are quite a few). Apply brake grease. Put back together. Job done.
