These look very MINIesque not sure if it's one for me as I prefer less cabin light when driving at night, but if you like it go for it.

I got mine on aliexpress. They were like £10 and took around 10 mins per side to fit. And they change colour depending on sport\original mode with the rest of the lights

Is this the correct part number for black trim?

Unfortunately, no.
It looks like the op has bought an aftermarket kit that uses a y-cable to take power from the footwell lighting. I believe the aftermarket version has amber/blue LED's v's OEM amber/white. If you want white you'd have to either replace the blue LED's on the aftermarket version or buy a OEM LED module and splice into the rear door harness cable that provides power the door card ambient lighting. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...6&postcount=14 |

I got these. You just have to tap into the power on the ambient lighting below. They were white/orange but I changed my orange to blue for the rest of the car so I soldered blue smds to replace the orange. |

Installed mine today. Look great. They're not as bright as it looks in the photo.
I reconfigure the harness so I could tap into the rear door harness. Wanted to keep the footwell lights clear incase I wanted to add the AC/radio illuminated trim in the future. Last edited by 3-GT; 03-11-2021 at 01:21 PM.. |

Maybe it's just the light reflecting off the coral red interior.

It may be down to just the photo. In my photo the lighting looks brighter than in real life. Also could be down to the build date of your car. BMW changed the LED to make them brighter. See #184. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...1076576&page=9 Also just in case you wasn't aware the brightness is adjustable. |
