KZL Chassis Warning

A chassis warning has appeared a couple of times on the iDrive and black panel, along with "safe to continue with journey" or words to that effect.

Carly diagnostics says that "KZL" module is giving an error output.

Any ideas before I call the dealer ?

Log into secret dashboard menu and get the error code number. Sometimes a google search helps to decipher what it is. Gives km reading when it occurred.

A Chassis warning is often a sensor on these cars.
Sorry I have no idea what the KZL module is though.

I was wondering whether one of the delete modules for the adaptive dampers has thrown a wobbly or has water in it. I'll take them off and inspect.

There may be a gyro sensor somewhere in the rear of the car. Time to get sleuthing !

Do you recall which option in the hidden menu ? I've already scrolled through the options/levels but nothing caught my eye.

Yes .. I would start with adaptive dampers, acceleration sensors etc.. these will be the usual suspects

It's been a while, but enter the unlock code and I think it's 'check' menu.

The yaw/ gyro sensor is usually under the armrest. I think you'd get a more serious error message if it was gyro, as it will affect DSC, etc.

My money would be on EDC delete. They are known to be troublesome.

Pretty sure it was KZL - "Rear Electronic Module".
