streaming music pain and suffering

Hi
So my year of free Napster is up and was just going to renew until i saw the price. £160!! So i am looking at alternatives after watching about 15 videos on youtube and fighting with the awful app on my phone i cannot seem to get a spotify symbol to appear on the menu. Is there something i need to do?
Android phone.
Will happily try any streaming service but would like access to playlists etc.
The car is a 2017 335d with pro nav

It’s only £13/month so what’s the issue? Spotify isn’t that much cheaper but then you have factor in your mobile data usage, if like me you use it a lot when you’re in the car.

With my iPhone I have to plug it into the centre console USB for the Spotify app to appear in the iDrive menu.

I've got the Spotify app on my IDrive using Bluetooth and i have an old Samsung Galaxy S5.
The phone has to connected to the car through the BMW Connected app.
I've got full use of Spotify on the IDrive (playlists, albums, browse etc.)

Idrive 6 here with iPhone xs. Spotify app pops up as soon as blu tooth connects

Even with my old IP7 spotify worked over bluetooth on my ID6.

Maybe the car needs a software update?

cheers everyone, spotify app appeared this morning by magic, although it vanished half way to work and then reappeared again.

Not a big fan of Napster or Deezer phone apps so would prefer Spotify. I am able to get it for £4.99 a month.

Have you updated Connected Drive service via iDrive?
