Also, for the coolant leak, we found it this weekend. It's leaking from the coolant temperature sensor on the radiator. Since the sensor comes with the radiator (N26 anyways), it'll have to be replaced. Finally... I get to use this CPO lol.

EDIT: Also, yeah, the warning was the low coolant light. I missed the initial problem (somehow. The damn thing is right at the top) but my buddies at the shop helped me pressure test it to be sure that was the only leak. Considering it took a month to drain, we're confident that it is.
Gotcha. Nice that it'll be covered under warranty, cool to see a FBO car that still uses the CPO lol.

You only void the parts you mod. So, that'd be drivetrain and suspension for me.

Yah no I understand that, I just think it's kinda funny that you can have a car that's so heavily modified and still make valid warranty claims. Everyone just assumes that as soon as you make a modification the warranty goes out the window, but that's clearly not true.

Custom twinscroll Mani with a BW EFR 7670 turbo.

Stage 2 lpfp
GFB DV+ kit
ATM intercooler with FTP CP's,
Custom Dyno Map and jb4 for control on e85 and pump 92
ARP upgraded Rod bolts for protection,
Muffler delete with quad 3.5" tips
E90 Southbend stage 2 clutch upgrade.
Stock sport shocks but with H&R super sports on the front and regular Sports in the rear powder coated red to match. (Back shocks are too soft so might upgrade to the Koni FSD or Bilstein setup.
Going with 225/45 r18 Front and 255 45(maybe 50) r18 rear. Get that meaty looking back like the car is fast, haha
Currently at around 380whp. Shooting for 420-450whp but my tuner says engine may let go if I push it without internals and tranny might let go as well.

How much of a PIA was it to install the rod bolts?

So, I decided to upgrade the turbo this week, because after installing my DV+, we noticed the turbo leaking smoke. It still had life in her, but I decided to preemptively replace it. I went with the MHI Big Turbo, since a new turbo, manifold, and wastegate was appealing for the price. I wasn't a huge fan of the Frankensteins offered atm. Once Halim@HCP gets back to me, we can get the tune rolling out! Going to be shooting for ~23PSI again, but going to cap it off around 300whp/350wtq. I'll update this again when the tune is there!
How did the bigger turbo work out? This is intriguing me...

Worked out great. Unfortunately, I haven't had the amount of time as I thought I would've towards building the car out more.

Awesome build! What part number is the DV+ that you installed? T9357?

@OP BunkerJ you guys would recommend these coilovers? I have EDC so I'd have to buy a delete kit on top which makes me have to spend more than I'd like on coilovers, I was afraid to put something under a thousand bucks on. I've been been doing motor stuff and don't want to spend a ton on coilovers.

That's an excellent build! Have you tried doing the 1/4 mile and 0-62 runs?

I would advise not to replace the ROD bolts unless rebuilding the bottom end. Lot's of parts needed and measuring and dropping the oil pan 3 times in less than 10K miles to check and make sure all is well. If anyone really wants to do it I can give them the step by steps I took but will involve at least two sets of the ARP bolts and one or two sets of stock rods as you will want to measure out the big end of the rod and clamping force of the bolts. You will need special tools to do this and it is not as easy as replacing stock bolts and torqueing them down to factory spec! ARP bolts will have different trq values to keep the stock rods big end as close to 0 out as possible and if one calculation is incorrect you will spin the rods and say good-by to your motor!

So, knock on wood here, but I am at 85k and have no issues with the chain. I would like to take off the valve cover here soon and see if I have any wear marks on the chain. If I do, I'm going to replace it. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry about it too much. As far as I understand, it's a wear issue with time (Mileage in this case). Hasn't anything to do with the power you're pushing through, but simply the mileage and AS/S function. I've hopefully prolonged mine due to the coding out of the AS/S function. That being said, the symptoms for a worn chain is pretty noticeable. Loud whining when you start acceleration. If you keep an eye on it, you'll be fine. I would also find a mod-friendly dealership, because even if it does fail, you could get away with mods, like I'm able to.
Who's your mod friendly dealer in SD?

I rather get a brand new assembly that was designed by MHI to tighter clearances and different materials that does not have a loose or rattling flapper. Also it's cheaper than Dinan.
I emailed bimmerworld regarding the rattle and they replied with this

These turbos do not fix the wastegate rattle unfortunately. As you said, the only difference here is the turbine wheel. The turbo has a 1 year manufacturer defect warranty.
Can you confirm if the MHI has the rattle? Looking to get it this year. Thanks

Hey Peeps!!

Got a question/seeking feedback from anyone.

I have a 328i GT and have upgraded some parts, Injen intake, VRSF intercooler & catless downpipe, bootmod3 stage 2 91 octane tune. Unfortunately, no exhaust brands have made an aftermarket system for the GT model.

I would like to make the car a bit louder/meaner. The catless downpipe has made some improvement but not enough. And the burbles with bm3 with my stock exhaust sounds insanely stupid imo so i had to turn it off.

What should I do next? Resonator delete or muffler delete? As mentioned, I would like it a bit louder & meaner with some crackling & pops here & there, but nothing insanely obnoxious...

Thanks,
Scott

If there's no system designed for your car, I guess a muffler delete is a good option, though there will be lots of drone. A resonator delete won't do much.

I would look into whether or not an F30 system will fit the F34.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, not sure if an F30 system will fit but maybe a shop can customize and make it work

Is there no MPE for the GT?
