Replacing M Sport brake pads on front

I've bought some new OEM pads for my 330D with M sport brakes

Looks very simple with removing the pins, do people normally replace the pins or put the old pins back in ? Looks like BMW recommend 4 years and they should be replaced, does that sound right

Also without removing the brake what the best way of getting all 4 pistons pushed back. What tool do people use and is it best to keep the old pads in whilst doing this

I've done loads of single floating style pads but not a fixed 4 piston system.

I have checked the rotor and its 29.3MM thick so no need to replace them this time around

Thanks
