If you enable rain sensor, yes it does that. I am not sure at the moment, yet rain sensor mode is disabled once you restart the engine.

Convince your dealer to swap out the blades. The last new car I had came with wipers that did not operate very smoothly, just like they would when it's time to replace them. When I finally did replace the blades, viola...smooth and noiseless!

Hi all,

As you might remember (a few messages above) my wipers wouldn't operate any more. I was getting a take the car to the service message on the control panel and a wiper error signal on the dashboard.

Today I took the car to the shop. They connected the diagnostic machine, and voila! The machine said there are no errors!

The service was clueless of the source of the problem. They said they have never seen such a thing. They asked the car to stay in the shop, and they will probably update some firmware, with some assistance from probably the factory.

Fingers crossed, waiting... :-/

Update on my situation: service said that the malfunction of wipers is due to a problem in the control unit. They have told that a new control unit is on order from Germany, and they will replace mine.

I found it a little awkward and disturbing. Problem in the control unit causing wiper malfunction? Don't you think so?

No wax, nothing or rain x

The guys are right.

The wipers work perfectly.

Don't wax your glass ever . Tell the dealer not to. It's your car.

Give the wipers a good wipe every so often to remove the grime from the road.

If no joy - go back to the dealer!

But if you do use rainx - you have to keep applying Every so often as when it is "fading" it is worse than wax. But it is amazing.

It seems to last only a few weeks at most depending on conditions, but personally I'm not about to stop using it.

You are right it does disable when you turn off.

But all you have to do each time it starts raining is touch that button. Then it's on.

A small effort granted but at least you can decide.

And how many time does it rain?

Well now I suppose that depends on where you live.

However I've yet to drive the car in the rain and I've had it for four weeks now. My wife has once and she said it worked fine though.
