Placed 3 GT order
Hello Everyone.
I have been reading through this forum for anything 3GT related. Glad to find more people on here who appreciate the 3 GT and "Get" what the 3 GT is about. I have had 2x 3 series already and fancied a change. I didn't want the 4 GC because it is just a better looking 3 series to be fair. I went to the dealership and took a 5 series out for a spin. It did feel like a land barge and didn't inspire me. On my way out of the dealership I saw this nice looking vehicle. I asked "what is this?" " A 3 series GT" came back the reply. I took it for a drive and really loved it. So last month I placed an order for a 330D M Sport Pack Estoril Blue Saddle Brown Interior M Sport Plus Package 19" wheels Media Package Pro. Reversing camera Ext folding mirrors, auto dimming Sport Seats Front heated seats Brushed Aluminium interior trim with Pearl chrome M sport suspension Electric seats with memory. Should arrive last week of October 1st week of November. I cant understand why people hate this car, i think its a nice car all round. Last edited by rapid64k; 10-06-2015 at 04:44 PM.. |

Well done, you'll love it !
I'm going in next month to order my second one, for 1st March delivery. Just awaiting a response from the dealer as to whether I can get it in Champagne Quartz (Individual colour) and at what cost.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o02_s00 It's a paint sealant that actually does what it claims to: dirt doesn't aggressively stick to it. Instead of having to constantly wash all I have to do is to wipe it off with a microfiber towel and it's clean as a whistle. If I get caught out in the rain water spots wipe right off. If I get mud splash it doesn't need to be washed off, just a rinse and then a wipe down after it dries is all it takes. For when you do need to wash and/or rinse, get one of these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o01_s00 After rinsing use it to squeegie the water off and you'll hardly have any water spots to deal with. |

If it is your second GT what made you take another one instead of trying a 4GC? Just out of interest really. |

Prior to getting the 328i GT in September 2013, I had a 328i Coupe. I enjoy the little bit of extra height in the GT as I find it easier to get in and out of. I love the shape and style of the 4GC, but as I turn 70 next week, I'm going for the comfort of my second GT. I love the exclusivity of this particular model, not many up here. I'm sort of toying with the idea of a 335i, but my wife thinks I'm crackers

I'm still enjoying my Midnight Blue, but fancy a change. I've looked at Kalahari Beige, in fact the dealer has given me a sample swatch to bring home. But I really like the look of Champagne Quartz. It's offered as an individual colour, at extra cost, on both the 5GT and the 4GC, and both those models are built at the same plant as the 3GT. So I'm hopeful that the dealer will be able to get it for me.

On the UK configurator, to specify Champagne Quartz on a Luxury 4GC, costs £1,395.
This works out (roughly) at $2090 on current exchange rates. Is it worth it

Apologies to OP, we've moved away and off topic from your original exciting order.
Make sure we see lots of pics when you get it.

Good of you to share your feelings on why you chose this vehicle. I did look at the 4GC but was not moved as much as when I saw the 3GT. The driving position makes a change from the "Low rider" position of the 3 & 4 series. I quite like the (A fact which you happen to touch on ) exclusivity of the vehicle. The 3 GT has bits from a 3 series, 4 series, x1 and maybe an x4 or x6 that's why people get confused. First BMW with an active spoiler what more could you ask for? It's a great car. |

It will be great to see some pics, when you get it.
I took the plunge and ordered my new one yesterday, a 335i Luxury in Mineral Grey and Oyster leather. I've decided not to wait, so I'm hoping for a build as quick as yours.

Nice one!
Did you add any extra's? The Luxury was my first choice but switched to the M Sport as I liked the M Sport packs and I have a liking for the M Sport Steering wheel I am going to collect mine on the 16th of this month. I went to see it last week and decided to break her out of there lol. I can't believe I let the car sit there for around a month without collecting it. So the 16th it is, I'm really looking forward to it now. Good bye F30 bring on F34. Last edited by rapid64k; 10-06-2015 at 04:47 PM.. |

Brilliant !
No doubt you'll be up at the crack of dawn - like a child on Christmas morning. I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures. I've just had a call from my dealership to say they expect my car to be with them (in Inverness) sometime during w/c 16 November. Not quite as quick as yours, but still only about 6 weeks from ordering !

If you haven't already got them, ask for a set of winter/rubber mats, at least for the front. Mine get lots of use in the winter and keep the front carpet mats looking good for drier days and better weather.
